Re: Don't kick me out of the group.....but

Pretty dece. The dust cover is a little cheesy. As is the 15" rail with no iron sights. Unless you have orangutan arms and can actually get your hand out there.

Re: AR15 comments on 300 BLK

I actually like ARFcom, when I do a google search and a thread comes up. Between all the idiots there are some really smart guys over there and alot of industry insiders posting new info. But the general threads are full of crap. Just like M4 Carbine. Lots of good info from people that really love t...

Re: Why pick the 300 Blackout?

You might consider looking at Cheaper Than Dirt. Cheaper Than Dirt is frowned upon by many gun owners. During the panic they pulled many shenanigans, such as cancelling existing orders due to being 'out of stock' and then immediately relisting those items at 3000% markup. And others. Botach had a b...

Re: Why pick the 300 Blackout?

Model1 Sales? Make sure you are using a prepaid credit card if you order from there. Model1 is notorious for having credit card numbers stolen from their website due to lax security. They have been informed if this several times, but dont care.

Re: Why pick the 300 Blackout?

Its cheap. This winter we saw AR15's for as low as $380 complete. That's in 5.56 with an M4 barrel. For $100 more, you could buy a 300BLK barrel, swap it in, and yer in business. Even sell the old barrel to recoup some funds, or keep it to swap back any time. All other parts from the 5.56 rifle work...

New Magpul d60 AR15 60-rnd drum

Does NOT work with 300 Blackout. Confirmed by Magpul rep on M4Carbine. He claims that the internal geometry doesnt have room for the larger bullets.

I hope someone from AAC is calling Magpul about a 300BLK specific model...

Re: Barrels longer then 16"???

Length of barrel has little to do with accuracy. What a longer barrel gets you is more velocity. More velocity gets you a flatter trajectory. The velocity you would gain in going over 16" I think would be minimal and you would be increasing your chances of creating bad harmonics. (edit: yes if...

Re: Barrels longer then 16"???

I, too would like to see longer barrels. I have a 23" 7.62x39 Saiga that is one of the most accurate rifles I own. There are lots of long barrel AKs in the x39 cartridge that are used very successfully as DMRs at ranges of 500, 600 yards. The 300BLK round is very similar to the x39, except it a...

Re: 300BO use inside home?

OP for suggestions we need more info on your home setup. I could use 300BLK as my HD gun, but I specifically avoided it. Many of the modern 300BLK rounds that open well are also designed from the ground up to pass through barriers with little effect. A feature thats great for cops/.mil with enhanced...

Re: Building A Light 300 BLK Pistol

A free-float can be lighter overall because you dispense with the front sight block and handguard retainer. Obviously, it depends which you choose. The carbon fiber and MI SSK are very light. Be careful when shopping, lots of manufacturers list the weight of the handguard but do not include the barr...
