Re: piston vs DI
If building from the ground up I would go DI for sure. It's hard to build a piston setup. Possible but very hard. FYI if you are tall go with a 10-12 inch barrel. I'm only 5'11 and it's a little tight behind my 8-inch gun. Sico's warranty is a big reason to buy their products. So when you don't tigh...

Re: piston vs DI
Yeah a lot of the gunk from shooting suppressed comes from the barrel bore it's self. Back pressure from the suppressor dose this. More crap comes in threw the gas system when running a can too. Factory subsonic 300blk ammo is dirty as well. Look into hand loading for the quietest/cleanest loads. Th...

Re: piston vs DI
If I was shooting a bunch of dirty wolf .223/5.56 then I would go short stroke gas piston. Or if I wanted a sub 11.5 inch barrel in that same caliber. If suppressing a 5.56 gun then I would 100% go piston as well. HOWEVER with short barrel/16-carbine 300blk guns I don't see the need for a piston. Th...

Re: Has anyone shot one of these, Socom 300 sps
That's a hard place to be a 8' inch can for 300blk. Most cans are in between. I have a t-bac ultra-7. It actually improves my 8' 300blk handling characteristics. The darn thing is amazingly light and well made. The trick to getting quite with 300blk is more about the hand-load, jp buffer and gas blo...

Re: Has anyone shot one of these, Socom 300 sps
I'd go Si-Co Omega personally. It's just magic with 300blk for some reason. That surefire can sure is heavy and expensive. If it's for a 300blk ar15 then it's a poor choice. Gas port/action noise is what gets you with a suppressed 300blk ar15. NOT the mussel report. The action noise on an ar15 is en...

Looks like the Photobucket-natzis got ya! The flimsy mag is the single reason I have not bought a rarr. This link is from another member. Should fix the mag problem.

That's not a "real" gun. It's just a picture from the new Doom-2 movie! Yeah it's that cool looking! Thanks for posting.
