Re: Help with bullet weight and uses.

Your rifle will tell you what it likes. The Speer TNT is popular for an all around bullet. Can be had in 500 round boxes. Good place to start. I picked the 147-150 grain bullets as some are available in bulk. Speer makes a 150 gr Gold Dot 300 Blackout bullet that is reportedly good for deer and expa...

Re: Sierra 30 cal 150 gr Varminter Bullet

Called Sierra. They said the bullet is new and they have not had time to load the 300 Blackout yet. They suggested 2.10 for COL, to try. Also, to use their 300 Blackout loading data for 150 gr bullets.

Re: Sierra 30 cal 150 gr Varminter Bullet

Thanks for the info. The reason I am looking at this bullet is that it is available. I have three 300 Blackouts that I load for and want to have 150 gr loads that work in all three. I use the cheaper bullets for practice. Want to standardize so I dont have to rezero, if possible. Havent been able to...

Might make a good deer bullet. The 150 Gold Dot seems to be hard to find.

Re: Sighting a scope in for subs and supers?

I have the Primary Arms 3x Prism scope. Havent tried it yet due to the blasted virus. The scope is for the 300 Blackout. Check the website for more info. It has a reticle set up for both types of ammo. You will have to confirm the zero for your individual rifle. And yes, you may be able to refine yo...

Re: A1680 and 230gn HPBT SMK issue!

Did you try different brass? You might be able to find some with a greater capacity. Brass can vary quite a bit.

I have a Lee Hand Press. I was thinking you might be able to get more capacity by seating the bullet upside down. The powder can move to the outside. Just a thought. Would be a PIA.

Re: New $109 .22LR Bolt Action Threaded BBL

Looks good to me. It begs for a scope.

I like a flat top blade for a front sight. Easier to index.

Re: IMR 4227 for supers and subs???

IMR4227 was designed for pistol sized rifle cartridges. It is flash suppressed. I have used it for many years and in a number of different cartridges. I would expect it to be fine for the 300 Blackout. I had a small quantity of IMR4227 so tried it with the Hornady 150 gr FMJBT. It worked fine in the...

Hornady 155 gr Match bullet with Crimp Groove

Anyone using this bullet? Is the crimp groove in the right place for the 300 Blackout?

The bullet number is 3039C.
