Re: Fiocchi 125 sst blue tip

Check out this article.: https://www.outdoorhub.com/stories/2015/04/21/breaking-5-different-300-blackout-loads-terminal-ballistics/ I compared this to the video I provided in my other post above. This is why I am asking about blue tip vs red tip. According to the article, the red tip doesn't expand ...

Re: Fiocchi 125 sst blue tip

Fiocchi emailed me that the 125 sst blue tip was developed for them for 300BO velocities but would not give me any ballistics data. Have not heared back from Hornady asking the same question on the difference between the red and blue tip 125 sst. Have seen that 1st video but not the second. This is ...

Cannot use firefox on this forum

Any reason why? If I disable tracking or use this worthless internet explorer I can access it.

Re: Fiocchi 125 sst blue tip

Looking at the gel tests that I have found, looks pretty dam good. Cannot find any gel tests of the red tips for 300BO. Was considering the speer 150 gr for my bolt action howa but now planning on going with the Fiocchi 125 SST. One less rifle to reload for. But would be nice to reload for it. Rebel...

Fiocchi 125 sst blue tip

Emailed both fiocchi and hornady about the blue tip. Not on hornadys web site as the blue tip, only red tip. Fiocchi tells me the blue tip is made special for them for 300BO velocities but wouldn't give me any ballistics info. Looking at different get tests, the 125 blue tip looks pretty good. Allot...

Re: 190 gr Sub-x subsonic and supersonic loads

I regret not buying these bullets when I had the chance. I instead bought a bunch of 110 tac tx. Your tests intrigue me enough to get back on the list to get some to try in my bolt action. It will be with H110 since I have an abundance of it. Think I will shoot off another email to Hornady to see if...

Re: Howa Mini-action in 300BLK best of Shot Show

Just put mine together today. Letting the rail screws I loctited dry before my swamp fox 1-8 gets mounted tomorrow. Then start reloading 110 v max to see how far I can push it compared to my loads for my AR. Should be interesting. For what it cost, think it was money well spent.

Re: 190 gr Sub-x subsonic and supersonic loads

I emailed Hornady about shooting the 190 subs supersonic. Was told not advisable until they do some testing. Would not elaborate any further.

Re: 2300 ft/sec from 10.5” barrel with 110 grain bullets

I settled with 20.0 gr of H110 for the v Max and 19.8 for the Barnes 110 Tac for my 10 inch barrel. As you posted, going above starts pressure signs. Once I get my stock for my Howa bolt action, going to see how high I can go with H110. Should be interesting.

Re: Bolt vs AR reloading

Wasn’t asking for info on my current load. My current load is doing just fine. Just asked about pushing a bit more in a bolt action versus an AR. But disregard, got my answer elsewhere.
