Re: Nutnfancy

He was always arrogant, but sometimes had a useful perspective if you had the patience. I like that he managed to get a lot of people doing run and gun stuff, and that he kinda helped to standardize language for a few concepts. i.e. Categorizing purposes of gear, empahasizing weight and durability, ...

Re: New Shotgun-Door Breaching Prop

Neat. You should staple cardboard over the stick though so that the shooter has to pay attention to aim.

Also I second the no metal, keep it wood thing. I would put metal tube instead of pipe. Then the breach drill can also be with a sledge or ram, and you have more stage options.

Re: Powder coat vs lube

p.s. I used to use the 45/45/10 method which is basically improved Alox tumbling, and it worked well for me. There was a very marginal time advantage, so for a while I used both it and PC. Then I just quit using anything other than PC. It is clean and encapsulated, and cheap. Leading is almost impos...

Re: Powder coat vs lube

It isn't lube you should be worried about going in your gas tube, it's vaporized lead. The DI-ish system in ARs basically vents out the charging handle on your upper lip. Can't wait until I have mine. I really like the feel of subs, but not the performance of the heavy mold I have.

I hope that is a typo. Otherwise we have a racially motivated serial killer among us.

Assuming it is a typo, nice work on the bullets.

Re: Barrel length suggestions

10 or 10.5 seems to be the just about right length for these in general, IMO. Long enough to get most of the velocity you could, and long enough to be very quiet with the subs. Short enough to be handy. 7" is okay, IF you have a hand stop or something. I do like the linear comps. I also like those c...

Re: Yankee Hill Integrally Suppressed Upper

They sometimes have specials with two cans as a set which would cost you less after the stamps, than a single can from most manufacturers before the stamp.
