Re: polishing a mil-spec AR trigger ?

So making the best of whats there is whats called for. like gunsmiths of old. Improving a guns trigger is becoming a lost art. Yes it is. Too many drop in parts available from multiple sources where people can run up their credit cards with near instant gratification with no experience necessary. A...

I do it to all of mine. lighter pull and smooths them out. Takes the 8 lb pull down to 3.5-5 lb. will cost you nothing. If not what you want/like you can always buy something.
I've done this to several rifles and they're no giessle but the also cost nothing

Re: Ruger rings?

Yes Walker they are. All steel constructed and a very stout mounting system. Problems - 1. Expensive, like 28 bucks for one here in the US. 2. Because they don't have a base, many resort to the x-tra high rings with a scope of any objective size. I looked online and found nothing much about them. W...

Ruger rings?

So I picked up a ruger m77 mk2 in 308. It's target or heavy barrel model...which ever you'd like to call it. I'll get it threaded for a new supperesor but in the mean time I'll change out the scope. It had a 3-12x40 Simmons 8 point scope..... it's just scum. I sighted it at 300 and shot it to 400 me...

Re: Are you a Hunter? or do you just shoot animals?

I'm 70-80% shooter/culler. I night shoot.....not to be confused with hunting...... for meat and lower pest numbers. But our deer numbers and regulations allow this. On the flip side of this putting animals on the end of your rifle regularly makes you slow down and take effective and clean shots beca...

He got a pass that time, probably not next time. That was one...

Re: Deer Season

The lungs are dog treats. I got a variety pack of beef parts that were all dried and they included some beef lung that felt like brown rice cakes, Vinnie went nuts over them so I tried giving him raw deer lung and he wouldn't touch it. Once I baked them things changed from no good to being consumed...
