Re: Hug your mother.

GDS, my heart aches for you. I remember my mothers passing as my sister and I witnessed her last breath. She lost the fight to COPD, asbestos and years of smoking. My wife's parents passed 58 hours apart a couple years after both of mine were gone. I do at times wish for some do-overs. Grieving is g...

Re: What would cause this?

Dellet: The winds were so strong today(45 mph gusts), the brass never touched the ground. Seemed to me that they were trying to catch up to the mother bullet. Of course one needed to stand in the gale, facing ejection port down wind a bit. Seriously stupid day to prevent your ball cap from landing i...

Re: What would cause this?

That's an easy fix if you want to stop the mouth dings on your brass....Bicycle tube patches, cut to fit the flat surface profile of the case deflector/dingerizer. Yep, cut it to fit nicely on that protruding thingie, clean up the attachment area, then peel and stick. LOL, I have one on my BLK pisto...

Re: 22-250 Reloading Components

Rather than list suitable powders, look at data (from Nosler, Sierra, Hornady etc) online. I print out the stuff I want for reference at the bench. My favorites for light bullets(40-50 gr):
Benchmark
Varget
CFE
H380
H4895 and so on..

Re: Bearly a surprise!

Dellet, our last walk about on the ridge behind Marysville and the ski hill, we had tracks following us that were LARGE canine. Friggin track was the size of a bear paw! We were on the hunt for a very nice Muley buck spotted earlier in the day. As we approached our parked truck a young fella asked i...

Re: My newest 300 Blackout

DS: Titan Reloading shows some 265's from Acme in stock, if that is up to date info. I will place an order and see how it goes. I have been wanting to do a bolt action AR platform for 300 BLK subs. Other projects are ahead in line....

Re: My newest 300 Blackout

Pretty interesting build goin on there. Look forward to seeing it completed and tested. About those 265's...my little supply from a friend has been exhausted(he gottem from the "A" company you had dealt with). Do you have a outlet to order more coated ones? I had just enough from my bud to know I wa...

Re: Speer Gold Dot 150 BLK

Yea, somebody post up something. So far, I have a hunting trip count of zero. I prefer at this stage of life to not go alone, also prefer a strapping young mule of a lad to 'learn' him the finer points of critter draggin'. No point in letting him use the game cart or nothin....

Re: Speer Gold Dot 150 BLK

Just finished a ladder test consisting of 3 rounds of each load using 1680 and CFE BLK. All loads were in the RARR, bipod and rear bag and across the Beta Master with the IR lite kit from Midway. At 23 grains of each under the 150 Gold Dot, the 1680 load put 2 in one ragged hole, with the third shot...

Re: Speer Gold Dot 150 BLK

@bangbangping.... Yes sir, hardware store copper tubing 16" long, funnel attached, unused dryer sheet wrapped around to deal with static. The black powder drop tube setup I used belonged to a friend, he moved, so cowboy engineer one. My Gold Dot 150's showed up just moments ago after making it here ...
