Re: Need advice on 2nd 300BLK SBR Build

Not sure of the diameter of the Saker but my SDN -6 fits inside Aero's M4E rails. Thanks I meant the BCM rail. I'm thinking back on the problems I've had since choosing a billet lower for my 1st SBR build and it occurs to me that the arguments being made against the M4E are legitimate one. I think ...

Re: Need advice on 2nd 300BLK SBR Build

The Bravo Co. KMR rail has all the same benefits. The barrel nut does NOT have to be shimmed or aligned for the gas tube. They a superior design in simplicity and have the best mounting system I have ever seen. The way the top cross-bolts secure the rail to the nut is ingenious. I am not a fan boy,...

Re: Optics - What are you using ?

On my "fun" gun I have a 1/4 Elcan SpecterDR with 5.56 BDC. On my Ruger Gunsite Scout I have a beater 1-8 scout optic, can't recall which one. On 300BLK SBC I currently have an Eotech XPS. On Arsenal AK47 clone I have Holosun (primary arms) T1 clone. For my 2nd Daniel Defense carbine (upper shows up...

Re: Need advice on 2nd 300BLK SBR Build

So my second choice at this point would be this; 1. Aero 2nd gen lower + complete upper. ($199) 2. BCM KSM 9" rail ($250) 3. Noveske 10.2" barrel + gas block + gas tube. ($275) 4. BCM BCG ($175) 5. CMMG LPK ($40) 6. Furniture ($80) 7. BCM buffer tube ($60) 8. AAC muzzle brake ($60) 9. Velocity 4 lb ...

Re: Need advice on 2nd 300BLK SBR Build

Since you like a longer handguard, get the 8" barrel and screw a suppressor onto it which will give you a 14 to 16 inch barrel+supp length. Be sure to get a handguard that fits over the suppressor. That's not a bad idea but I still might be better off going with a 9" hand guard and a 10" barrel. It...

Re: 4 Reasons 300 Blackout Is a Terrible Choice for Home Defense

The list above is what I was remembering. Also one thing I think people forget is you can choose to have only a judge decide your case. Again this will depend on location but at least a judge is supposed to be impartial. If it is a technical case a judge shouldn't be swayed by a prosecutors grand s...

Re: Shielding titanium balls, Officers shield from Bataclan

I have zero doubt that the French have plenty of patriotic men & women who absolutely will put their lives on the line to defend their fellow citizens. The problem really is the mentality that they (and pretty much all of Western Europe) have that only the military and police are capable of fighting...

Re: 4 Reasons 300 Blackout Is a Terrible Choice for Home Defense

In my opinion the only thing that prevents 300 BLK from being an outstanding HD option is the price of factory HD ammo to load magazines up ahead of time. I load my own ammunition for 300 BLK and in any non-SHTF situation I would never, ever use that ammunition for self defense. Too many cases of ov...

Yes, my plan is for a 3 or 4 lb velocity trigger. I just got one of their triggers this week and it is pretty incredible for $120.

Re: Need advice on 2nd 300BLK SBR Build

Hey guys thanks for all of the input so far. My main reason for leaning towards M4E is that even though I've assembled a bunch of stripped lowers before this will be my first upper assembly and I'm nervous about messing something up using shims, lining up gas tube, getting proper torque on barrel, e...
