Re: Cheapest once-fired 223/5.56 brass?

I found a place selling mixed military for $79/K or $150/2K with free shipping so I went with that. In case anyone's interested... Ordered from https://www.evergladesammo.com on Saturday, they processed on Sunday, and it got here yesterday. Not bad. The brass looks very clean and in good shape. I w...

Re: Ruger SR-762 accuracy issues.

Well as they say in the old movies, " You are on your own, son!" I don't have a Ruger product, just a bunch of AR's, Fals and one AR-10 I slapped together. If the mounts are tight, the rings are tight and the scope (if equipped) ain't broke, they all shoot well. I have had them group where I didn't ...

Re: Ruger SR-762 accuracy issues.

Sounds like it is suffering from a lack of consistency. Go back and check all your screws and such.....holding the action, mounts and scope. Make sure there is nothing growing in the bore.....start clean and tight and it should all come together.

Good Luck!

Re: Cheapest once-fired 223/5.56 brass?

How many are you looking for? Search “caliber/by the pound” I have used DiamondK before and price will depend on whether you want it clean or processed, and the type. Sorting by headstamp can cost a couple cents per case. Or you can bid on the surplus stuff, generally 1000 pounds or better, but it’...

Re: Cheapest once-fired 223/5.56 brass?

I like to spend time reloading this time of year before the heat and humidity get too bad in our area  I tried American reloading, at the time I could get primed unfired brass 223 cases for just a couple of cents more then primers alone. The brass turned out to be Federal marked FC brass which...

Re: Need Help With Hornady Neck Turner

Yup. After sizing the case, the inside neck is somewhere around .305" and the mandrel is likely .308". You need to expand the neck to .308". Then turn and resize again. There are lots of options. One option is a Lee universal expander die along with an expander plug from NOE. Another option is to c...

Re: 2018 Hunting results

Nice work on the kills guys! It's a shame that the season is wrapping up :( Yep, its ABOUT over, but not quite!! I have to go back to Louisiana next week which is the last week of regular rifle season. Would like to take a nice doe and if weather cooperates, I may get the chance. The end of rifle s...

Re: Forming 300 blackout shoulder problem

I realize that we can sometimes have different methods and opinions. It is hard for me to see the point in resizing brass that I will cut off. I cut off all my brass first and then resize them. The length of the cut can be important, as with practice you will find the length of the cut off brass tha...

Re: 2018 Hunting results

For a change of pace, I picked up this 8 point in Louisiana with my .308. He was a tad younger then optimum, but the shot was in the last minute of legal shooting time on the last day of my hunt. The rain of the past week is evident, he was shot crossing a plowed field and was a bear to get out! htt...
