Thread pattern isn't important, bore size is. You need a .308 muzzle device threaded to match your barrels thread pattern. I would not use an adapter.

As long as your muzzle device has a hole larger than .308 for the bullet to pass through, you are fine.

ok, sounds like a bad BCG...does the groove on the bottom of the BCG run the full length, or did it get "short machined"?

As mentioned in that thread, the only time most reloaders would flare rifle brass is for cast bullets. Typically chamfer/deburr will allow copper bullets to seat without issue. Now, if you are using a Mr. Bullet feeder on a progressive press, this may not be the case, but you should follow the instr...

Load the same magazine with .223 rounds...note the vertical ribs near the front in relation to the bullet. Now load the magazine with 300blk rounds...see the issue with the vertical ribs on the bullet? On a full mag, that changes the height of the stack of bullets.

I like to plink with 125gr Speer TNTs...they shoot great out of my 7" as well as 16" barrels. Sig Sauer makes a 125gr round that works extremely well, but I can load my own far cheaper.
