Re: First Reloading Press Recommendations
For volume, a Dillon 550 or 650 is where its at. I started out reloading with a 550b and 9mm. Learned the basics with that. My dad still uses it. I have had 2 Super 1050's, but now am back down to a single 650 with case and bullet feeder. 9mm, 45acp, 223 plinking ammo, 300blk. For precision, Forster...

Re: LC 5.56 brass
I would have to look, but I think 09, 10, 11 mostly, probably some 12 as well. Ive never really noticed that LC brass changes between year codes.Taurs2526 wrote:what is the date code?

LC 5.56 brass
I've got around 50k+ pieces of LC 5.56 brass I am trying to get out of my way in my shop. This brass is un-cleaned and was bought at mil surp auction. Looking to move it for 6c a piece plus shipping. USPS flat rate is cheapest. We all know the prices for USPS flat rate so I wont go into that detail....

Re: attention premium brass fans! - Starline brass making 300 blk
Starline will be premium priced IME. I tried to work with them in 2013 or so as I had a customer that wanted his own head stamped brass. I believe the min order for custom head stamp on a caliber they produced was like 1 million pieces and the min order for them to start up a new caliber was like 10...

Re: Length issue on finished reload of 300blk
There are VERY few projectiles that will actually run at 2.260. MOST of the load data out there states 2.260, which IMO is complete horse shit because we all know that most of the bullets wont run that long. If you call the manufacturers on it(I have) they say "oh we do all load development/tes...

Re: Adjustable block with side adjustment screw.
I guess I never adjust my adjustable gas blocks after getting them setup. But those are both on guns that only shoot 1 load.

Re: Question for those loading jacketed subs.
I guess it depends on what your goals are. Low ES is certainly necessary for long range sub precision, but I have a big spreadsheet of loads saying it ain't sufficient. I totally agree, but for what he is attempting to do, or at least what I think the OP is attempting to do, reading the chron...

Re: Question for those loading jacketed subs.
Dont waste ammo on OCW
trust the chrono...
You arent working with a huge broad range of powder charges. My guess is you can get it done in 50 rounds.
Load em in .1g increments and shoot them across the chrono. Stay subsonic, ensure function and look for low ES and SD and call it done.

Re: looking for a flash can to add 4" to barrel length.
My guess is you are looking at 50-75 bucks for the actual muzzle device and then another 50-75 bucks to have it pinned.22_boomer wrote:I want a 12.5" 300 Blackout barrel but don't want to spend money on a SBR stamp
You arent that far off from the $200 tax stamp.
