Re: Primers falling out

I use the ballistic tools primer pocket gauge. Check every piece of brass and those that allow the no-go gauge to enter are rejected and recycled. No loose primers since I adopted this technique. Before doing this, I popped out a primer while seating a bullet in my press. I also had a primer get int...

Re: Wal-Mart

Walmart.com is like Amazon in that it uses external retailers to provide Goods through their portal. Walmart is probably not selling those items so much as advertising and taking a percentage of the sale from a third party

Re: Annealing before or after forming? and why?

If you were chopping 308s and necking down to 6mm BR, definitely anneal.
The neck on the 300 BLK is so minimal no benefit

loose primer pockets. old cases get loose and spit our primers that will jam up the action.
Never had a problem with neck tension either

Re: Handloading with no chrono

I've been reloading for 35 years without one.
9mm, 45, 357, 400, 380, 32 h&r
and H110 supers in the 300 with no worries
But if they de-list cans and I start working on subs
I will be getting one first thing

Re: Annealing before or after forming? and why?

Never annealed, use LC brass I chop and form on my own.
Don't see the need- annealing is largely to avoid split necks
and 300 cases fail with loose pockets long before necks split.
Supposed to help with accuracy, but I could see no effect.
