Bolt Gun Loads for Heavy Bullets
There is a fair bit of load data available for lightweight bullets in a bolt gun but I was hoping for some quiet loads for 200 - 208gr bullets. I have a good load for 150gr bullet using Trailboss but the 200gr bullets are too long to allow the use of Trailboss. Anyone got a load that uses a faster p...

150gr FMJ work well and are fairly cheap. They should be easy to find as well.

Re: 125gr Supers
I've also got a 10" rifle that this ammo can/will get used in. For the 7" PDW I wouldn't be super concerned about accuracy, cause lets face it, that thing just won't be used at any serious distance anyway. If it will plink a half sized IPSC target out to 100 yds at most then I'd be fine w ...

Re: 125gr Supers
I've got 2 lbs of Blue Dot and prob 3-4 lbs of Lil Gun and maybe 5 lbs of 4227 so I'm not buying any other powders at this time.

Re: 125gr Supers
It had occurred to me to try a slightly reduced load because the 7" rifle does fine with 150gr supersonic loads.Roverhound wrote: ↑Wed Feb 05, 2020 9:14 am I just loaded 500 rounds of Speer TNT 125 gr using 17gr of Lil Gun.
I've never experienced cold weather problems with this combo.

125gr Supers
Any good loads for 125gr supersonics. I am using Nosler Ballistic Tips FWIW I did see a lot of people using Lil Gun and I do have a bunch of Lil Gun but the warnings about unstable results in colder temps makes me want to find other options. I was kind of hoping to find a decent load using Blue Dot ...

Re: Sierra Matchking Bullets 300 AAC Blackout (308 Diameter) 125
I just tested 18.0gr of Lil Gun under a 125gr Ballistic Tip and my 7" PDW did not like that load at all. It would partially stovepipe the rounds going into the chamber. My suspicion is the semi-bufferless recoil system of this carbine is the source of the problem. Gonna try the same load in my ...

Re: Adjusting crimp distance on case using Lee Factory Crimp Die
Something is not right with your seater die. The seating stem should not be deforming the bullet like it is.

Re: Compressed loads?
The short and simple is work with established safe load data with sufficient recommended safety margin and work up or down slowly. There is too much powder and bullet seating depth combo variations of super vs sub to give out wild guesses. Yes, nobody suggested otherwise. There are loads of publish...

Re: Finally, the perfect (compromise) 300 BLK AR
I have 7.5", 10.5" and 12" AR uppers. I like the 10.5" the best. It seems to be the best size length to do everything without being overly long when suppressed.
