This series was testing the Barnes 110 black tips with different primers and H110 charges. Bbl was fouled by firing and not cleaned between groups. A fan ...

Re: Weird grouping issue

In using the powder measure for the Blackout, I use a pistol rotor (long narrow cavity for more uniform results) and H110. In setting it up for the charge, I throw 4 series of 10 charges, each series weighed and divided by 10. I'm not satisfied until it reads exactly my desired charge on average. I ...

Re: Weird grouping issue

Measured my 110gr Barnes reload. Before chambering 2.252" oal. After chambering (first round from mag) 2.252" oal. Black tip had no deformation after chambering. I did note that at about the beginning of the full diameter part of the bullet there were light marks nearly the full circumference of the...

Re: Weird grouping issue

My Barnes 110 gr load is normally 20.0 H110, but did try 19.9 and 20.1 H110. Nosler load is 19.0 H110. Caution, do not use that Nosler load if the oal is less than 2.2”! Start low and work up for your gun.

Re: Weird grouping issue

Interesting thread, as I am having the same problem. New build with Bear Creek side charge upper and 16” Green Mountain Blackout bbl. Using my Barnes 110 gr blacktip loads, 2.25” oal, the first round hits 1” low at 34 yd, 1.5” low at 50 yd, and 3” low at 100 yd. The rest of the group is higher and g...

Refund credit showed up on my CC account yesterday. Will monitor reviews to see if the situation is ever corrected.

Re: Magpul Hunter American stock for the RARR

This is a shame. I was considering another rifle just to outfit it with the magpul. Following to see what they do with your refund. For refunds, they say: "You should allow one to two billing cycles for the refund to appear on your statement." Maybe by the time the refund shows, they will have deve...

Re: Source for inexpensive subsonic bullets?

Frequent the web sites (at least once per week) of sellers of pulled or seconds or overrun bullets. Also get on their email lists (some will send you discount codes to use). I've gotten about 5-6 thousand Sierra 220gr Match Kings in the 20 to 25 cent range delivered that way. Hint: If you see them a...

Re: Primers for AR

Some what related to slam fires... Do not use small rifle primers that are too soft for the pressure of the cartridge or you might get pierced primers with the gas eroding the bolt face and firing pin. For example, at full power .223/Blackout pressures it is possible for pierced primers with Remingt...

Re: Magpul Hunter American stock for the RARR

New Youtube video on the subject. https://youtu.be/qz6WasQhKss Now, ONE person reports the MDT mag works in his RARR on the Magpul Facebook page, but all others say it doesn't. So far, Magpul has not refunded my $ on my returned stock, nor have they replied to me regarding my written comments on imp...
