Re: Bear Creek Uppers??

I have a BCA sidecharger... runs like a sewing machine. Smooth, dependable...one of my favorites. Do you have to continually relighten the charging handle? 4 of us have the same "problem" with the charging handle needing tightening about every magazine. I'm now experimenting with wrapping some nylo...

Re: Factory Remington 700 pistol in .300blk

Here's the question I asked Remington: Will a pistol buffer tube screw into the rear of your new Remington M700 CP pistol so I can attach a brace support? Here's the answer from Remington: Yes, you would be able to add a brace support. Should you have additional questions, please feel free to contac...

My bitter sweet 2018 deer hunting trip

Sweet, cause I met my goal of 3 larger Georgia deer. Bitter, cause my brother is selling his Georgia property and moving to Utah. Being as it's probably my last Georgia hunting trip, I asked if I could try for 3 deer to really stock up on deer meat. Sure, with my only restriction being not to shoot ...

Re: Weird grouping issue

I have maybe 5-6 of the 120 Barnes. Never ejected a middle of the group round...may try that, but at some point I get tired of trying different things. Have not put the bbl on another upper either.

Re: Weird grouping issue

I said two minutes. Actually I had two fans blowing on the bbl and suppressor. I would shoot when the bbl and suppressor felt cool to the touch. It took about two minutes for that to happen. Other than a couple of groups fired as fast as I could aim with no fans blowing to see if a hot setup changed...

Re: Weird grouping issue

Here's my update to the first round of the group hitting low when using my Barnes 110gr blacktip handloads. Shot groups using 5 different lowers with 5 different weight buffers. Fired 12 groups total. 11 groups had the first shot chambered from the magazine hit low. 1 group had the first shot in the...

Re: Weird grouping issue

No targets were shot. Simply set up chrono in yard and shot over it into the dirt.

Re: Weird grouping issue

While I stay at home taking care of my post-op wife, I was able to do one test a member requested. I live in the county on my little retirement farm so I can do some testing on the property. 20.0gr H110, Barnes 110gr black tip, CCI 400 primer, LC formed brass, no anneal, mild crimp, 2.25" oal, 16" G...

Re: Weird grouping issue

I do not have a tool to measure if bullet is straight in the case, but I did do the following: Roll loaded round on flat surface and see no observable bullet wobble at tip and measure the oal. Load round from magazine and eject loaded round. Oal still the same. Roll round on flat surface and see no ...
