Re: 308 diameter projectiles; how to tell for which caliber?

good info above. in reference to the 150 gr Hornandy SP bullets you have. they have been my favorite deer bullet in my .30/06 for many years. my load pushes them around 2900 fps. I also load them in my 300 Blk and 17.7 grs of H-110 pushes them about 2000 fps in the 16" barrels. they shoot good and a...

Re: Recipe for Speer 125gr TNT

my load for the 125 gr. TNT is 18.3 grs. of H-110. in my opinion, the TNT is the best value in a hunting/plinking bullet suitable for the 300 Black Out . (super sonic)

Re: Trying to decide if I need a "big" caliber rilfe in additipn to 5.56/.300blk combo

my 300 Blk barrels are 9" & 16" . most of the shots I get where I use them are under 100 yds. I did shoot a 200 lb boar hog through the ribs at about 70 yds with the 9" pistol. the 125 gr. SST blew about a 1 inch exit hole with the jacket stuck in the hair. he ran about 20 yds. I normally hunt with ...

Re: Trying to decide if I need a "big" caliber rilfe in additipn to 5.56/.300blk combo

good info above. I hunt deer and hogs with my .30/06, 300 Black Out and even the .223 . it all depends on where I hunt. the '06 in areas where I might have to take a long shot and the 300 Black Out or .223 when the shots will all be fairly close or in a populated area. as far as terminal ballistics,...

Re: Lehigh Defense Close Quarters

I'm not knocking your choice but for a super sonic defense load, why use an expensive bullet like that? why not just use a proven hunting bullet like the 125 gr. SST, 125 gr. TNT or 110 gr. Black tip? I could see having to pay big bucks for a sub sonic bullet that would give violent expansion at low...

my 9" AR pistol also used to blow back in my face when shooting. I have no idea why but it quit doing it all by itself!?

I use a Ballistic Tools go/no go primer pocket gauge to determine whether the case gets rejected.
thanks! that is just what I need. some of my brass is getting old and I have been having an occasional primer falling out. now I will be able to check them before loading.

Re: PSA Blem Complete Uppers W/O bcg$ charging handle

not saying that checking headspace is a bad thing to do but a few months ago I bought a PSA "blem" pistol upper. I just put it on my lower and banged away. I am very happy with it. the only thing I can guess is the reason its a "blem" is the front takedown pin hole is tight and requires a little mor...
