More than a 10% difference in powder charge weight to get the same case fill ratio. Current Nosler data. https://www.nosler.com/300-aac-blackout#BAF49BQ

Re: Ammo. What do you buy what do you reload?

Assume you mean close SD. I use a 170 or 185gr RD style cast and 2400 powder. ~1400 fps. Lancer mags. 110 Vmax,125 SST or 145gr cast for hogs. 150 BO GD is a SD ammo. But they ain't cheap.

Re: Quickload Question

Seating depth of .56" !!! Get a correct number. Measure YOUR seating depth.
GRT with the 180 and 14gr 1680 is 94% fill with .56" seating depth. 15gr is compressed and 57K psi. 10-11 gr 2400 will probably work better.

Re: 300BLK SBR Subsonic Cycling Issues

You only have 9k psi at the (pistol?) port so dia won't make much difference. Nor will heavy buffer/springs. A2400 will give more pressure, 11k psi. Seems like when the BCG gets dirty, cycling stops for you. My numbers are for no can so your pressure will be a bit higher. I use ...

Explanation for higher than expected velocity

... H110 CCI 41 primer American Eagle Brass Velocity: 2250 The velocity listed for the 110 grain vmax and that powder charge/coal should be about 2400 or just under, but I can see an extra 60 fps depending on the setup and conditions maybe. But the 125 grain TNT is coming in about 150 fps faster ...

... that energy is delivered, therefore the stopping power. A 110 grain bullet at 2100 fps from a 7” barrel delivers 1100 pounds, 300 pounds less than 2400 fps from a 16”. I would challenge anyone to shoot suppressed supers less than 30 feet and describe to me the sonic crack. What you decide to shoot ...

Re: I bought a 6.8SPC

... performance gains, especially if you're shooting out to 200. For only one example, 125 SST in the blackout @ 2100 fps vs. a 120 SST in the 6.8 at 2400 fps. Higher BC + faster means the 6.8 will have more energy at 200 than the 300 BLK does at 100. Personally, I wouldn't shoot hogs with the blackout ...

Re: Speer bullets

... with confidence. It is a varmint bullet designed to explosively expand driven at 3k+ fps from a 308 or 30-06 or similar... running it at 2200-2400 from a 300bo or 763x39 should make it perform as an ideal deer bullet within 200 yards

powder that needs to be compressed, Or nearly. 2400 is pretty much the same, needs temp and pressure to burn right which means a high fill portion.

... shooter 10, then a 4 pt. The 4 presented a shot. He took it with my CVA V2 scout rifle. Our load was 110 gr Barnes TAC-TX with 20 grains lil gun @ 2400 fps. Load groups less than an inch at 100. My little asked if he could take him and made a perfect shot right behind the shoulder. The buck ran ...
