FFL Fail, can anyone relate?

May, 2022. Im browsing through some cans at my closest FFL which is about 55 minutes away, its a typical Texas FFL you could say.. DIY kits were all of labeled firearms per someones opinion and Form 1's were being denied. I was actually seeing what i considered to be entrapment from the alphabet boy...

To further expand on just what im talking about in regards to my claims above, please see the images of the brass received. I had tumbled some of that same brass for a clear cross examination.

Re: Converted 300BO from 223/556 - mixed headstamp - VERY SHINY

BUYERS BEWARE A little disclaimer, I have no malice intent towards a individual trying to sell whats advertised, but these don't came as advertised. I first enquired about a 1k converted brass from laxman, with a quick reply he indicated they would cost more than advertised, cheeky. Then indicated ...

Re: Starline 300 BLK Brass

In regards to lightening your charge loads, wouldn't this be somewhat advantageous for subsonic loads? I just want to make sure im understanding this, but if i were to purchase starline brass wouldn't i be saving on powder while staying subsonic, or would this possibly interfere with my case volume ...

Re: Exceeding Minimum SAAMI Specifications

They wet tumbled them with the primers in. I wouldn't load those without cleaning the primer pockets and re swaging them. i doubt the primer pockets were even swaged. the OP never mentioned that it was part of the service he paid for. they sure dont look like it - you can see the stab crimps still ...

Re: Exceeding Minimum SAAMI Specifications

It’s not dangerous, but I would not load fullpower loads for the first firing, let it grow some first. Subs or minimum loads. The remaining crimp is a bit of a pain without tools but in a pinch most chamfer tools will remove it. Pretty poor job of converting, I wouldn’t be buying any more unless it...

Re: Exceeding Minimum SAAMI Specifications

There is a couple things going on. One might be important, the other not really. Overall length at 1.347" is not a problem in itself, not my preference, but it will work and be safe. This is the one problem with a case gauge, it can not check overall length if it's short. If the case is sittin...

Re: what case trimmers do you use

I use the lyman case trimmer express its very quick, accurate, and repeatable holding a +/- 0.001" nominal values.

Think you can pick one up for ~$100 on Amazon prime.
