okay sweet, that's what i needed. That's the same length I've been using 19gr of H110.

What length do you seat them to? 2.005" is what most published data recommends, I see folks pushing em out farther, but the ogive measurements have em being seated under 1.940"

I mean who made it? Is it stainless, carbon steel, chrome lined, etc. Quality of construction and barrel material are going to have and effect on velocity as well. SS barrels will always be faster than the rest.

Re: Someone please help me understand these numbers!

Will think about switching primers though. Really hoping to find a load with the barnes 110gr, speer 125 tnt, and the speer 130gr varmint that I like and is under max pressure. I stopped annealing 300blk brass cause my damn primer pockets go before the brass does.

Re: Someone please help me understand these numbers!

Might be of interest... 18gr - H-110 behind the Speer 125gr SST shot almost as accurate, and similar to my 125 SST's w/ 17.8gr (my favorite), but with significantly more erratic velocities. Accuracy fell off above and below 18gr for me, but I never went much higher to really see. The goal was a che...

Re: 2300 ft/sec from 10.5” barrel with 110 grain bullets

Suppose I’ll be close to 2300 ft/sec with loads that aren’t as hot given the extra 2” of barrel in my 10.5”. I know there are exceptions, but in general, what would y’all think Id need to be at charge wise with H110/W296 to be close to the 2300 ft/sec mark? What barrel and twist rate are you runnin...

Re: 2300 ft/sec from 10.5” barrel with 110 grain bullets

With the 110 tac-tx I've seen 2,270 fps in an 8" , average was 2250 fps. But i also saw loads of pressure signs at 20.8 maybe 21 gr H110 and it was destroying my brand new hornady brass on the first shot, so i backed off and stayed around 20.4 ish for a hunt load i smoked a white tail buck wit...

Re: 2300 ft/sec from 10.5” barrel with 110 grain bullets

I've gotten the barnes 110gr up to 2301fps with an 8.5" noveske barrel. Took 20.8gr of H110 and I had every pressure sign in the book as a result. Flat primers, extruded primers, split necks etc. Plus they were sticky! If I didnt put 5 coil extractor springs in all of my bolts I dont think they...
