Re: Best brass to keep?
Except I now I have a rather large surplus of brass... and I'd rather get some money back, so I want to sell off what I don't need. Hence the question of what to keep.... Lake City, Federal (FC) 223 Rem and 5.56 stamped, and WCC are the main ones to keep. Regarding the others it greatly depends on ...

Re: Best brass to keep?
Cool, I can make cases from 223. So after a $50 saw, $100 powered trimmer, some time etc I still need more tools and then annealing. Not to mention time. Argh, I just wanna shoot! I'm feeding a bolt gun. This is ridiculous. Could've spent $80 on enough factory brass to last a llifetime $80 won't go...

Re: Ruger American Blackout Magazine
I'm all for extra options when it is a feasible option that companies will actually make. However, I have the Ruger American ranch and have hunted in some thick areas with a different gun with an extruded box magazine. I think OP you are making the matter a bigger issue than it really is. If someone...

Re: Go-To 300 Blackout Dies
What is (are) the go-to 300 Blackout Die(s)? I ordered an RCBS small base die in this cartridge sizing to reload subsonics with mostly cut down .223 brass. In tens of thousands of rounds of rifle/pistol reloading, I've never had stuck cases like I've had with this die. Looking for another solution,...

Re: reloading S&B 300 BLK brass
If my memory serves me correct, the brass thicknesses of those was borderline at the max allowable.
It worked with tight toleranced diameter bullets.
However, if you had some bullets with slightly larger diameter variation of jacketed .308 bullets, you'll definitely have chambering issues.

Re: Need a Plinking Bullet
M80 FMJ in 500 or 1000 round lots when they run sales on it for .125 a pop. If you are going to be super cheap and you have a rifle that has smooth feed ramp, you can buy .30 carbine 110 gr RN qty 1000 for around $95 to reload. Some have steep unforgiving feed systems of 300 BLK that don't like shor...

Re: Compressed loads?
The short and simple is work with established safe load data with sufficient recommended safety margin and work up or down slowly.
There is too much powder and bullet seating depth combo variations of super vs sub to give out wild guesses.

Re: New to reloading, need help with Lee breech pro
First you need to diagnose the cause of the problem, answer the "why". I do not have experience with your model of press, but I do run into situations where things don't work right on my reloading press without an obvious answer available from the manual or from basic internet research. Ye...

Re: 308 diameter projectiles; how to tell for which caliber?
I did manage to get out and shoot my first 308 loads yesterday. I do need a lot more time with a bolt action as I usually only train/shoot with semis. While 1.24 moa isnt anything to brag about, it's a good start and the grouping will get smaller (I'm having a problem with my 308 powder hopper catc...

Re: Couple Q's on repeat-ability and desired tolerances...
One thing to note which - hasn't happened - basically ever... Rounds seated a tad deeper than published COAL - (2.25) 2.2 to 2.24 end up slipping in and out of my slotted Sheridan gauge easily.. Most rounds always got stuck.. I've got the Hornady runout tools so I know bullets are straight but at 2...
