Re: Zero Problem

Questions: 1. Is it the ammo? 2. Is it the barrel/pistol not liking the ammo? 3. Does gas system need tuning? Your kind help would be appreciated. Thank you. 1. Yes, most likely 2. Depends, how big were your groups with each load? If one grouped better than the other I would say there was a relatio...

Re: Accuracy Woes

..., how far off from the nearest bad load are they? ... How bad can bad get? It can get pretty darn bad. In my 8.3" BA I mostly found OAL critical to reliability. Note also the loads I gave you will run fine in a GI mag. Pretty near every bullet that's fed out of a magazine needs to "jump" to get ...

Re: 168 grain speer gold dot

I think Speer said it won't work due to the velocity required for expansion being too high. They make a specific 300 blackout version of the 150 grain that expands at lower velocities. If you don't care about expansion the 168 should shoot OK. Sorry, I don't have specific load data for you, I just w...

Re: Accuracy Woes

Try a different optic and take that out of the equation. Worth a try. 2 barrels, same problem so it is probably another issue. I second Rebel’s suggestion. Try another optic on this rifle and maybe also try the PA 1-6 on a known-to-be-sub-MOA rifle. Also, is your one-piece mount attached entirely t...

Accuracy Woes

Hello All, This rifle has been giving me issues since day 1. The current issue is that I cannot, no matter what I have tried, get below 2 MOA (1 inch at 50 yards) on this rifle. I don't know what else to try at this point, but I find it very difficult to believe there is not something very wrong wit...

Re: Subsonic Unsuppressed 300blk from 8.3" Barrel

Update: I have since solved my cycling issues by 1: slightly increasing powder charges, 2: replacing the buffer spring with a lightweight Sprinco "yellow" version, and 3: completely disassembling, cleaning out the gas port/tube (there was some red loctite in it!).

All three stabilized and no keyholes.
All three cycled and bolt held back.
All three subsonic
I wished I had time to check accuracy but was getting dark. No chrony so didn't get velocity.
How can you conclude they were subsonic if you didn't measure velocity?

Re: Speer Gold Dot 150 BLK

Ok, so, I have been playing with this bullet for a while now, and am just starting to get it figured out. However, it has raised a few questions. I am shooting RAR 16" rifle and getting excellant groups, 1 moa or better @100 yds, with, 20.0, 21.0, and 23.0 gns of CFE BLK. My only "issue", and I may...

Re: Anyone tried reloading the Noveske black brass from the glow tips?

I tried reloading this but was unhappy with the results. Upon the first sizing (full length), the black coating rubbed off the neck area so now the case looks "distressed". The nickel finish shows through the scratched up black coating. I guess it's fine if you don't care about the appearance, altho...

Just an update, about 500 rounds of FMJ down the pipe and tried the Berrys again, all is well no fouling at all.
What kind of accuracy are you getting?
