Re: Sierra Matchking Bullets 300 AAC Blackout (308 Diameter)

Ok so I went to the range today with some 125g SMK loaded with 18.5g or LIL Gun. Discounting two stringers group size was 0.42. Adding the stringers in group size was 0.79. Average velocity was 2081, SD 26.49. Overall I would say the groups seemed to be a little tighter for me than 18.0g. I am stil...

If you want to get your velocity up you have to get a lee fcd and crimp!! Its a must in 300 and gives better accuracy too!

Re: H110/W296 with 125 gr sst's..

I have a Palmetto State 16" chrome lined 300 barrel and I have experimented with the 125 SSTs and H110 with a chrono. My goal was balancing accuracy and velocity. For my barrel/rifle I have found 18.8grs H110 with the bullet seated to approx. the middle of the cannelure gives me decent accuracy and...

Re: New to 300BLK

Its NOT reliable for subs at all..... pistol gas is king says me...... Properly configured, carbine gas is just as reliable for subs and easier to shoot for supers. There is a very narrow window where powder choice is increased with pistol gas, but that causes over gassing for supers. To say that c...

Re: New to 300BLK

I know plenty thank you, Ive been a reloader for many years (over a decade) and yes you can tailor rds but you shouldn’t have too!!! Its a headache and for what? The average person shoukd be able to go to lgs and buy ammo subs or supers and it perform with both, which a pistol gas system does!! So y...

Re: New to 300BLK

I’m sure AGB have improved over the years, but I’ve always thought of an AGB as a compromise to reliability in the form of a set screw coming loose or falling out. Hell im just becoming ok to the idea of a gas block that isn’t pinned to the barrel in general (Noveske is pinned ) I’ll probably ...

Re: New to 300BLK

I’d hoped a more learned person would respond to your post... it they’re all likely out shooting. Sounds like you have a decent budget for your build...far greater than my own. My two cents...you won’t get subsonic in the bullet weights you’re planning to use. Since you’re watching lots of YT video...
