Re: Barrel mfg - length?
Oddly the States think they can re-write Fed law. The OAL by Fed std (unless something has changed recently) --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NY40MWyVEKw --> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yq8TCkwZ3pY The pistol brace is considered an accessory, so you remove it when measuring. What's confusing ...

Re: Over gassed?
OW "adjustable" and "tunable" are two totally different types of blocks. Yes, both are "adjustable", but very different and used for different reasons. The "adjustable" is a click style, the "tunable" is a dual-screw set-it-&-forget-it style. For...

Re: Over gassed?
But for clarity, the OW "tunable" is a set & forget type. They also have an "adjustable" for the gas system that needs to be changed often. I have no need to change the gas system parameters that much. Tuned to support non-sub ammo, and now it's gtg.

Re: Over gassed?
Odin Works tunable gas block (low profile SS). That's what I went with. Much better now. I should have went with an adjustable from the start.

Re: Over gassed?
It’s cheaper than a new barrel, but not as veritable as an adjustable block. If you know the exact size of port you want, it’s probably a good choice, provided you also know exactly what ammo you will be shooting. I know I won't be shooting subs down this barrel. I would have no idea what port size...

Over gassed?
std ammo only with a GM27 16" car barrel that has 120 gas port. FA bcg with H1 buffer & car spring. It's kicking rather hard. Initially had a misaligned gas block and it fail to cycle every few rounds, but with this misalign the kick felt like an ez tap on my shoulder. Fixed the alignment i...

Re: Gauges - Slotted vs. Non
The two gauges kinda do the exact same thing, except the slotted one requires that you gauge the round twice with the 2nd time rotating the case. If you have two gauges, one std and one slotted, you still have to gauge the round twice (if using both for some reason). Why buy two gauges that are not ...

Re: Gauges - Slotted vs. Non
I am not saying the round needs to be indexed in the gauge. I have some 300blk factory ammo that failed miserably, but as I seat the round in the gauge after rotating it (a few times) the case head would stick out at varying distances. Possibly a few reasons why the brass is bad, but a bulge in the ...

Re: Armscor ammo not cycling?
Sure, this is a 3yr old thread, but same issue here.
You need a ammo gauge like the Sheridan slotted case/ammo gauge.
Armscor is badly out of spec. I just got a case of (10 boxes of 20). 1st box, 6 of 20 did not size correctly !!
