Re: Accuracy problems with suppressor

You mention accuracy issue but didn't post group size change. Is it really an accuracy issue or is it a point of impact shift?

Re: Down the rabbit hole I go!

During this build I've not had the greatest of luck with vendors, except the ones that post here. Tried to order a carbine buffer tube end plate only to have the vendor cancel the order and refund since they apparently didn't have it in stock as listed. Optic's Planet shipped me a 15" handguard inst...

Re: Redding 300 AAC Blackout Trim & Forming Die use in Co-Ax Press?

So I finally have my answer, yes it works. The form die body is long enough to contact the shell holder jaws and fully form the case. I've only formed up a little over 20 cases but the die works beautiful. So my Co-Ax press saved me the expense of buying an extended shell holder. 8)

Re: Redding 300 AAC Blackout Trim & Forming Die use in Co-Ax Press?

If you are not going to trim, only form, you may be able to set the die as needed and screw the lock ring on to the bottom. I am not familiar with the Co-ax enough to say for certain. Actually the lock ring isn't tightened to the press but only to the die body. The dies are allowed to free float so...

Re: Redding 300 AAC Blackout Trim & Forming Die use in Co-Ax Press?

Well, here is my thought on how or why this may work. The trim/form die is short and when threaded into a standard press it is too short for the shell holder to make contact thus the need for an extended shell holder. The Co-ax design is different and the shell holder plate comes much closer to the ...

Redding 300 AAC Blackout Trim & Forming Die use in Co-Ax Press?

The title pretty much says it all. In my haste to buy equipment to start forming 300 Blackout brass I overlooked the need for an extended shell holder for use with the Redding Trim & Forming die. I tried searching the net to see if anyone else had tried this combination but hit a blank. Since I'm no...

Re: BCA got raided yesterday - by ICE, for identity theft by some of its employees

Since when is an identity theft investigation handled by Homeland Security/ICE? I used to work in a prosecutor's office, then later a county jail. Since all the time. If you know what you are talking about all of the above stuff actually makes perfect sense. BCA had some employees that were illegal...

Re: Anyone else try the redding form and trim die?

I don't convert a lot of brass, but to me it's worth it to me. First it saves wear and tear on the dies I re-size with. Second, it forms a better shoulder if it is done in a two step process. If you read a lot of the trouble shooting tips when people have trouble forming cases, one thing almost alw...
