Re: Pistol Brace

ATF has muddied the waters with various letters over the years trying to complicate a pretty simple concept . If you build a pistol with the intent of shouldering it all the time to try and duck the NFA SBR process you commit a crime . If you modify a pistol brace to make it more suitable to shoulde...

Re: Which way to go with upper optic

Personally I would go with the second upper . QD mounts may or may not return to zero ( or close to it ) but a well mounted scope that isn't removed is pretty much on with the trouble of popping two pins and swapping the lower .

Re: AR pistol sight options

Curious on the night vision. What brand? 61 year old eyes here but don't want to go the scope rout. If I did the red dot should it be low on the rail or typical rifle height. I went with a Sightmark photon It works good for what it is and it's price point . I see they just came out with a new sight...

Re: AR pistol sight options

I have two ar pistols . On my 5.56 I run a 1x4 scope and on my 300 I am currently running cheap night vision . I consider them 200(ish) yard guns and my old eyes aren't up to irons anymore . Red dots have never worked well for me either .

Re: Snake protection boots

I was born and raised in SE Colorado out on the plains . We have snakes a plenty and never in my life have I owned snake boots . I will put on cowboy style boots before wading into heavy weeds because they keep the stickers out of my socks though .

Re: New member needs upper set up advice

I really like the way the can " under the ff tube " looks . I really dislike the real world effects of doing that . Cans work by slowing and COOLING the gasses of the shot , since energy cannot be destroyed , only converted they convert the energy primarily into heat . This heat radiating ...

Re: Sightmark Photon 6.5X50S Nightvision Scope

I understand it is sold , but want to ask a question about how well it works . Specifically does it work without the illumination . My issue is that i need about 250 yards of range and was wondering if the sightmarks were the affordable way to go .
