Re: Looking for a better powder measure
I have been using a Lyman powder drop since the 80's and am very happy with it. It handles extruded and ball powders better then my Hornady Micro drop. No discs or other stuff to mess with. Adjustment is easy and stays within a tenth to a tenth and a half. Yes I scale every drop for rifle but not pi...

Conversion Question
Have a spare Adams Arms carbine length piston setup.
Has anyone done piston conversion from DI on the 300BO.
From what I can tell it should work.
This is supers only 16" barrel.

Re: Well crap....
Try a bullet that uses gas checks as the powder is vaporizing the base of your bullets.
Most semi auto weapons do not like lead bullets. They are not designed to shoot lead bullets especially soft lead bullets.

Re: Berry's plated 150 gr bullet
I do not use the same bullet. I use the Berry's 30/30 bullet, it is cheaper and is good to 2000 FPS. Feeds fine in AR's, levers and bolt guns and is fine for sub or super. All plated bullets are crimp sensitive, Berry's has a video about crimping on their website. I use the Lee Factory (taper) Crimp...

"The world definitely needs more young men like these two Heros."
I agree but we need them alive and well as they are the type of smart young ones to replace us soon to be gone old people.

Re: Blown out primers Hornady 150 FMJBT & Lil Gun
After talking with a Hodgdon Tech about load levels being higher then other manuals. He said NEVER start with a Max load listed either in their load manual or webpages as they only use test barrels not specific firearms for testing. He said to use the starting load and workup for a specific weapon. ...

Re: Blown out primers Hornady 150 FMJBT & Lil Gun
After this thread started I sent Hodgdon an email asking if what I was reading online about Lil'Gun being sensitive to cold temperatures causing pressures problems. The answer was nonexistent, so I resent the email three more times, no response. Apparently they are not going to answer my email. I've...

Re: *&%$#@ Ruger rant
You should use Loctite 620, High Temp with .010 fill capacity. This stuff will not come loose. I use it on my 183 and have never had anything come loose. Warning the 620 is real tough stuff to remove makes red seem like a breeze to remove. Use with care on anything you want to take apart in the futu...
