Re: 6mm ARC experience anyone?
I know - totally off topic - but I'm guessing the people on here are likely to be checking this out as much as any other group. I've been doing some reading about it and the performance seems great, but its suffering through growing pains - clean feeding mags, proper detonation, etc. I have been fo...

Re: Experience with 240 grain bullets
So how did you clean a sealed can? There are several options. Big thread over at sniper's hide on the subject. Over 400 posts long so far. Lots of pictures showing before and after results. Some are very impressive. I temporarily plugged the end of mine and filled them with Bore Tech C4 and let the...

Experience with 240 grain bullets
Quite a while back I did my first foray into hitek coated cast bullets using 217 grain bullets from Gallant Bullets. It took me quite a few rounds to get past a few initial bugs but after I got the hang of it the rest shot fine. I put about 1000 rounds down range and about 800 of those with zero pro...

Plated vs Coated bullets
I did a 1000 round test of coated bullets, which was my first foray into that realm at all. On the other hand I have been shooting plated pistol bullets for years with great success. I however have not shot any plated bullets through my 300 BLK but I am thinking about trying it out when stuff become...

Re: 300 Blackout Magazines
Does anyone have a list of bullets that they have tried or that require the use of 300BLK mags or altering a standard PMag?
I am considering buying a stack of 300BLK Magpul mags to have just in case, but before I fork over the money I am wondering how widespread the problem is.

Re: Optimum barrel length?
Not really any optimum barrel length in general, but for the stated purpose of pig hunting I would go longer barrel for velocity reasons. Opinions will vary on the subject. Also bullet selection is important as well. Terminal effects are important and most are dependent on higher velocities. That sa...

Re: What's wrong with making 300 BLK brass?
Sorry. I have not been online a lot since this original post. Since then I have formed around 500 pieces of BLK brass and for the most part they worked great. I've shot no less than 500 rounds on my own formed brass. Here is my report on what has and hasn't worked. In those 500ish pieces of brass I'...

Re: suppressor compatible handguards?
Given that hoop strength isn't the end all and be all to the discussion. Standing on its own it's not a big deal for most people provided that the hand guard isn't made out of Chineseium and is made to spec. Also tucking a suppressor also means that you need to shoot suppressed 100% of the time depe...

Re: suppressor compatible handguards?
I should also add that having that kind of tucked under setup promotes really bad shooting techniques. Watch the video below from Tu. Pay attention to the whole thing but particularly the parts about the grip, weight management, the vertical grip, etc. Not being able to mount things is bad but shoot...

Re: suppressor compatible handguards?
If you do mean something big enough ID to tuck a suppressor inside of it that is something I would never do nor recommend for anyone else to do either. Why not? There's many examples of these out there. What's wrong with doing it? There are numerous problems with that kind of setup hence in large p...
