Re: SBR Issue - Faxon 10.5”

I have Faxon 10.5" barrels in both 300 BLK and 5.56, and the 300 is very accurate-bughole accurate-with 120 gr Rem OTM supers and average (2 MOA) with Rem 220 subs, both suppressed and unsuppressed. My handloads using Hornady 125 SST's and 208 ELD's are close but no cigar to the Remington ammo....

Re: Optic for 10.5" AR Pistol

Looking for input regarding optics choices for a 10.5" pistol build...I'm extremely new to the .300Blk cartridge but I've been shooting AR's since the 1980's. Originally I was going to just grab an Aimpoint PRO off of eBay but then I started looking at optics with BDC reticles as I plan on usi...

Re: Micro-pistols

Did you chrono' the bullets? Where I'm going with this... it might be small and light for an AR (<1# lighter than my 16" pencil barrel AR @ 5# 9 3/4oz) but I have to wonder just where it falls in the world of handguns for ft/lbs out the muzzle with the short barrel and lightweight .224 bullets...

Re: Ruger No1

I understand completely. I like steel and walnut as well, and single shots of all types are my favorites. Sharps, Winchester 1885, Ruger #1, I like them all. That said, the TC Encore comes with a walnut stock option, and is very versatile, as you can get barrels in many different cartridges; some fr...

Re: Ruger No1

I have a Ruger #1 in .223, so I know that they made them at one time. Whether they will in the future is anyone's guess, as most are now a one run proposition through Lipsey's, with different cartridges featured each year. As was mentioned, the problem with a rebarrel is timing the extractor cut. Al...

Re: 300 blk optics

My eyes are not what they used to be. I need to find out what is a good optic for my 300 blk. Perfer not a scope. Something for up to 100 yards. Thanks I like the HoloSun 510C. I like it so much I have two of them on two different rifles; well a rifle and an AR pistol. It gives you the option of a ...

Re: 300 Wilson Ham’r

I built an upper last Feb/Mar, and was awaiting Spring wx to test. Started loading ammo and all procedural items that entails. Unfortunately, in early May, I had to have surgery on my right arm due to tendon separation, and was out of action until late September. Since then I have test fired the upp...

Re: Aguila .22 Subsonic Solid Point issue.

22 ammo is weird. I have found the Aguila to be inconsistent. For consistency, try some of the Federal Match. I like RWS subsonic HP but it gets a bit pricey. IIRC, Wolf Match is manufactured by RWS. I have a case of this stuff because it shoots very well from my 10/22 and my Compass Lake .22 upper...

Re: Question for Glock guys

Because ounces count, especially when you are not in your youth and able to carry heavy loads. When I was 18 I could carry an M60, 250 rounds of ball, my ruck, two canteens, and a 1911. Now that I'm 62 with a hip replacement, and a bum right arm due to a bicep tendon separation, every ounce that goe...
