Re: Chrono Opinions

My Chrony gets enough use to justify the approx $100 I paid for it and has served me well. I thought about moving up but could not justify the expense knowing the frequency of use would probably not change. I may upgrade to another Chrony with more features, maybe not.

Just ignore the printed warnings. You'll probably be the lucky on who does not have problems. That works for me every time.

Re: Remington 700 AAC-SD Heavy Barrel mislabeled twist rate

Why would you think there should be any recourse? You bought a used rifle, as is, years ago. Have a gunsmith verify the twist rate if you are unsure, go out and enjoy it with ammo that is compatible with the actual twist rate.

Re: Does Play between upper and lower and accuracy?

Yes, it can affect accuracy. The receivers are not a tight fit, they have the time the bullet is in the barrel to move and that movement. If you can not feel or see movement when manually flexing it, you should be OK. Check your scope mount. If you have access to another AR, swap your upper with tha...

Re: What's causing this?

If you are seating and crimping in one operation, stop doing that and do separate steps. In fact, you could get away with not using any crimp at all.

Re: Concerns with storing W296 in garage Central Texas

Anything stored in sealed containers will be fine. a lot of guys get anal about storing components, but there is no need to. If you are worried about primers being in unsealed containers, keep them on a shelf in your closet. If the wife complains, tell her that if you ever have a house fire, the pri...

Need a Plinking Bullet

The Barnes Blacktip are nice, but twice the price of most everything else. What's a good performer in the same weight range for plinking, shooting paper, etc that won't break the bank?

Re: Barnes Black Tipped TAC-TX available at MIdway

I'm interested in other bullets that you guys have had success with. I'm looking for a cheaper bullet for plinking but still want decent accuracy. The Barnes are pretty high $$$ compared to others.

Bullet Recommendation?

Looking for a bullet for hog loads. Barrel is 16", 1:11 twiat, unsupressed, and super-sonic. Powder is H110 Will be loading a pretty large batch and don't want to break the bank. The Barnes blacktip 110s are nice bullets but they are twice the price of just about everything else. Thinking Hornady, s...
