Re: Sierra #4625 Tipped Game King

I’ll pass on this bullet after Sierra answered my email about minimum fps for expansion, which they stated 1800 fps.

Re: Subsonic Woes

You have to put the lab radar in pistol mode to register subs.

Re: Sierra #4625 Tipped Game King

Until I see at least a gel test, I will stick to Barnes 110 Tac Tx. The sig 120 looks like a good round though. Haven’t tried it though.

Re: Lockdown loading

I managed to break another bullet last weekend  I think it was operator error, but until I can repeat it, I won’t know for sure. I just know that when you eject a round in a bolt action, pieces parts of the last round fired aren’t supposed to fall out on the bench. http://i1044.photobucket.co...

Re: Primer pressure signs?

That crater ring on the primer indicates over pressure. Every barrel is unique. If commercial ammo, stop shooting it. If reloaded ammo, back off on the powder. As posted above, could be your gas port.

Re: lee Powder measures?

I got to 19.8 gr of H110 before seeing pressure signs. H110 can be unforgiving. Do .02 grains at a time. Oh, always go by the scale!

Re: Howa Mini-action

Have only shot in an indoor range to break in and zero with Hornady 190 subs. So far its great. About 80 rounds through it so far. Need to find some place to go shoot 100 yards with it. But since everything is closed due to the virus, have to wait. Still looking for some cheap 190 gr bullets to relo...
