Re: Barnes 110gr vs 120gr Vor-TX

I have and continue to use the 110s. Surprised at the comments on accuracy. Those 110s shoot consistent 1/2" groups at 75 yards for my son out of his Ruger Ranch. It's been a great whitetail combo.

Re: Have they fixed Ruger American Ranch Rifle's feeding problem???

thanks for the update....so there is something more than just the mags going on...pretty sure you didn't keep your original 2 mags but would have been nice to know if they worked in the "new" gun.

however I also can say that the lucky 13 mag works with ALL my different 300 loads....weird

Re: Have they fixed Ruger American Ranch Rifle's feeding problem???

Ironhead: How much did it cost (I was seeing $125 on their site, assume Australian)? What site did you order it from? Did not see any U.S. distributors listed and quick search of a few sites here did not find any listed for sale. It's a long story but....go here www.blackarsenal.com and email chad@...

Re: Have they fixed Ruger American Ranch Rifle's feeding problem???

Got my Lucky 13 mag....works perfectly. Honestly, Ruger just needs to make a better quality flush fit mag. This one was pricey..but it works. I really only need one that works. Would be nice to have a flush fit that worked though.

Re: Have they fixed Ruger American Ranch Rifle's feeding problem???

Mine was having so many problems chambering a round and 2 magazines broke I got tired of it and sent it in. I told them if it can't be fixed to please send me the same rifle with the AR mag version. We'll see how Ruger's customer service is. If you don't mind please report back here with how that g...

Re: Have they fixed Ruger American Ranch Rifle's feeding problem???

When I bought mine the AR mag version wasn't available or I would have bought that for sure. I can only say that in hindsight..as I should have researched a bit more on the RAR...who would have thought that a simple flush box mag would have been such a problem. 4 Rounds perfect for hunting for him,...

Re: Have they fixed Ruger American Ranch Rifle's feeding problem???

That damn rotary magazine is a POS. Had I known I would have just gotten the AR mag variant. This gun is for my son to hunt and he's learning quickly how to unjam a round shoved into the top of the barrel. Thought about trying the Lucky 13 mag from AU but it's 1/3 the price of the whole gun...and I'...

Re: Remington 783 300bo?

I recently picked up a 783 in .308 for my son. It's the short heavy barrel version similar to the RAR (which I have in 300BO). I also have the Ruger Predator in .308. Based on all that...I wouldn't buy the 783 again. I had ejector issues on round 3 with the 783 that eventually required removing the ...

Re: Powder used in Barnes 110 tac tx loads

Idk what powder Barnes uses but 300MP has been MOA or better for me with every 110-130gr FB bullet I have used including the Tac-TX http://www.300blktalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=141&t=81569&start=10 Looking at your data and velocities you are also running slower which seems to be giving y...
