Re: .223 vs 300blk at 100yds penetration test video
And that is why 300 is overkill for home defense But who uses fmj's for home defense? Not that the BO would or wouldnt be a choice for me as far as caliber is concerned, use the right bullet for the job at hand. Im not including hangun bullets, the reason being say for example the pointy 124g BO ro...

Re: 135g Sierra Varmint bullet vs wild boar
Good report, I have a friend going to Texas for pigs in March. I am going to load up some of the 135s for him to try too. I told him I would do it if he takes pics of entrance and exit wounds for me. The guide reccomends neck or head shots but Im going to get him to put one in the shoulder too.

Re: Quit compromising, raise your standards and have realistic expectations for 300BLK in 2017
If the truth were known my favorite bullet is the 150 Berger Flatbase. I have shot it in everything from a 1/5 to 1/10 twist and 7"-24" barrels, 1650-2250 MV. Bolt action, Handi rifle and a couple AR's and it's almost like you have to work to get it shooting anything less than MOA. Find y...

Re: Quit compromising, raise your standards and have realistic expectations for 300BLK in 2017
Being that I'm new to the 300 I am thirsty for all and any into I can get. I always have strived for the best I can get with any rifle and load for it. I take shooting a animal very serious and will not use anything I do not have total confidence in. I am use to using weapons that may have limitati...

Re: Curious
Dont know if its relevant or not and Im not familliar with the M&P. A freind of mine had a simillar problem When he swapped the upper from his Mossberg MMR to another AR. When he went to pull the charging handle the BCG got hung up on the hammer. Turns out the Mossberg has an odd cut their BCG a...

Re: .26 Nolser
I agree with the above comments, 26 Nosler is pretty overbore and barrel life will be short. I have a friend that is a 6.5 mm fanatic, and he has a few 6.5 x 55's and a 6.5-06, they all shoot very well and cold bore 500+ yard shots are no problem with them. They are Winchester actions and heavy barr...
