Re: Gas Block Recommendation
I'm sure this topic has been beat to death, but I'm working on putting together a 10.5" pistol in 300BLK. I was wondering if an adjustable gas block would be recommended. It will be a 10.5" barrel, with pistol length gas. I'm in a no-fun state, so it will not be equipped with a suppressor...

Re: What kind of hunting gun for my 4 year old
Load one round at a time? Or make a single shot magazine. They also make sleds that replace the magazine so you just drop a round into the ejection port, release the bolt and fire. I single load with my pmag. It took minimal pressure to close the bolt with an empty unmodified mag. Then I took the m...

Re: Home defensive 300 BO load that is unstable?
I wouldnt go subsonic unless it's a Lehigh projectile or one specifically designed to expand at subsonic speeds. Otherwise it will over penetrate like crazy. I prefer light supersonic loads with a suppressor. Less penetration, more energy and depending on the cartridge safe enough to shoot in door w...

Re: Brass bulging after being loaded
Good to hear that worked out. One other use of the gauge that I did not mention. If you think it's the base hanging up, drop it in backwards. If the base goes in farther backwards than forwards, it's not the base hanging up. Compare to a known good round to get an idea, before it happens so you you...

Re: Brass bulging after being loaded
I mentioned it in a later post. I am almost completely convinced it is an issue with the bullets seating unevenly. Did you even try rolling a bad round on a flat surface? Did the tip wobble? If no wobble, the bullet is seated straight and you have another problem. yeah, some of them did and some di...
