Re: Project Fatboy + My Load Data

Actually even using an ADM mount the cheek weld is fine. If anything the little bit of extra height stops you from "craning" your neck, either naturally or on purpose. The riser only adds an extra 1/2" to the overall height. It also allows the use of a non cantilever mount. In my case...

Re: Best Mags for 300BLk Subs?

I run subs through a 20 round pmag when shooting from a bench with a bipod.

Zero failures of any sort.

Re: Project Fatboy + My Load Data

I got some time to return to the range today with 50 loads of the top pick using 208gr Hornady match bullets and A1680 powder. I am using a Vortex Crossfire II 1-4 and decides to just zero in @ 50 yards. I was easily creating silver dollar 10 shot groups using a bipod from the bench. It was quickly ...

Re: Project Fatboy + My Load Data

Ha! You said 'baffled'. It looks like the endcap is removable. Any thought to replacing that with a tighter bore? Can you take out the baffles to clean them? If so, using cast lead boolits could bring your reloading cost down. Also, what happened to the sweet looking rail on top with the nested BUI...

Looking for load data on MBC Coated 245gr

Subsonic only on a 9.5" suppressed barrel. I have both Accurate 1680 and IMR4227 available for this load. I've been advised to not use Lil'gun in this case as some have reported leading issues ceased once they stopped using this. I skimmed the stickied topic above, but did not have luck between...

Not opposed to 220, I can always tweak me formulas.

Thanks for the feedback.

Where to buy non-cast bulk 208gr?

Is my only choice little 100 count boxes of the usual retail stuff (aka Hornady as an example)?

I settled on some loads using this weight, but have not had a lot of luck sourcing a place to buy them by the 500, 1000, and so forth.

All I can find are 100 count boxes ranging from $34-45 a pop.

Re: Project Fatboy + My Load Data

Interesting choice. Like the looks. Are you sure you didn't mix up the suppressed/unsuppressed velocities on the first two loads? I've never known a suppressor to lower velocity. Me neither, but that is what happened. I was a bit baffled on that one as well, but since I planned to shoot suppressed ...
