Re: Clean barrel or not?

I'll take my bore snake with me tomorrow and see if that helps out any. I'm retesting the best loads this time and will see if it helps, hurts or neither.

Re: Clean barrel or not?

What you mentioned is about what I do except for shooting both directions. I was just wanting to see if one or more of you have noticed if yours shoots better when clean. I know most rifles are all different but I just want to see if there was a pattern. I'm going to load up some more of my best loa...

Clean barrel or not?

I figured this might be the best place to post this question since it has to do with shot groups. I've been working ladders with different powders, powder loads, bullets and ogives to see which supersonic load my rifle likes(16.5" barrel) and after about 12 different recipes I noticed that the ...

Re: Did Sierra Change their #2121 Bullet?

Do you get better accuracy with a FB? With my 223/5.56 boat tails work better for me and I wanted to try some with the Blackout.

Re: Did Sierra Change their #2121 Bullet?

I'm not really interested in the cannelure but really would like the BT. Guess I could go with another brand. Maybe they(Sig) made a mistake saying it was the Sierra 125gr Matchking bullet. Here's the ad I am lookng at, maybe I'm reading it worng. https://www.cheaperthandirt.com/product/sig-sauer-el...

Did Sierra Change their #2121 Bullet?

I'm trying to match some Sig Sauer 125gr ammo that shoots great in my Blackout and thought that the Sierra Matchking #2121 bullets was what they used(says in ad they are) but come to find out they are completely different bullets than what is in the Sig ammo. The Sig ammo is a BT and has a cannelure...

Re: What would cause this?

Definitely hitting the deflector, it's got brass marks all over it. As for the 2nd flat spot, I have no idea, I'm shooting out doors and the brass lands on gravel. I'll see what I can find to put on the deflector.

Re: What would cause this?

I guess that's why I never seen it before just shooting 5.56 before the 300. I'll try that padding trick on the deflector. Thanks guys.

What would cause this?

I went to the range today to test out some new loads and looking at the cases I noticed they had flat spots on either one side of the mouth or two sides opposite each other. Here's what I loaded them at: Bullet Type Powder Load 1 - COAL, Load 2 – COAL, Load 3 – COAL, Misc. Primer 125gr FMJ __ 1680__...
