Re: Hodgdon CFEBLK Powder
Ok..Ok..one more. So the best thing a sales guy ever told me in my engineering career.... "You know Nito.....sometimes it amazes me that some engineers will spend 10 hours of engineering time (billable) to save $50 on a project..." yeah...true story....kinda puts things in perspective.. :m...

Re: Hodgdon CFEBLK Powder
I still find it very odd that the only single powder you could make work was 4227 . CW The only powder that would cycle Lehigh Defense 168 gr. CF's subsonic loads in my 300 BLK rifle 16" barrel with a pistol length gas system unsuppressed. Well... yeah, no kidding. Did you think to try heavy s...

Re: Hodgdon CFEBLK Powder
I always found what I considered excessive unburned yellow kernels from 2400 & 4227 in my 357 Herrett years ago. Adjusting the neck tension and applications of a firmer crimp, did help some, but eventually I just switched powders. I still find it very odd that the only single powder you could m...

Re: Hodgdon CFEBLK Powder
I'll run a freshly cleaned bolt that wet, but I just dab some grease on the carrier at contact points. That is pretty messy, though, like 1680 messy. I don't think the gas system is doing that. copy that! Having no experience with 1680, I did not know what to expect. One thing I do not miss is the ...

Re: What a 300 BLK can look like in a 223 chamber, right before it goes Kaboom.
There are plenty of stories floating around the net about what can happen when you chamber a 300 BLK round in your 223/5.56 chamber. All you have to do is search 300 Blackout Kaboom and you'll find plenty of examples. We've had a few posted here over the years. Then there is always a discussion abo...
