Re: 3D Printable Reloading Tools

Do you have a link for that one? I didn't find it on there. The author put it behind an "NSFW" flag that requires you to be registered and logged in on the site, and click past an "I'm 18" block in order to see it. If you go to my Printables page and look at my "makes"...

Re: 3D Printable Reloading Tools

Finally finished up this thing that I found on Printables.com... http://www.rawlinsbrothers.org/3dprint/magloader1.jpg Supposed to be a magazine loader. Kind of sort of works, some of the time. The last guy to review it on Printables gave it a 5 star review, so hopefully it is working better for him...

3D Printable Reloading Tools

Full disclosure; if enough people download my design, I can in theory get points towards free printing filament or other stuff. I don't really forsee there being enough demand for that to happen, but one never knows. Anyway, I had offered a machined delrin version of this here in the classifieds som...

Adapter, Dillon case feeder to Lee App press (300BLK)

Offering a part that I made on my lathe to speed the case prep process. After acquiring an XL750 progressive press and a power forming/trimming setup, one of the remaining bottlenecks in my conversion process was primer pocket swaging. Long story short, my solution was to get a Lee App press which i...

Re: Tran-sonic. I know where it is but what does it sound like?

In the transonic speed range the object (airplane, bullet, whatever) traveling through the air is still going less than the speed of sound, however, there is localized airflow around the object (due to its shape) that is exceeding the speed of sound relative to that object.

Re: WTB: Dillon 1200 or 1500 with 300 BO trim die

You may run into issues fitting the vacuum shroud to evacuate chips on the single stage press. On the Dillon presses you have to use a special reduced thickness toolhead to power trim 300 Blackout and still get the vacuum shroud to fit. This is specific to the short length of the Blackout cartridge;...

Re: WTB: Dillon 1200 or 1500 with 300 BO trim die

If you haven't found a Dillon trimmer yet, FFB is supposed to have more of their Honey Badger trim adapters in stock this week. By the time you get the adapter, router, bit (I am using a 3/8 carbide end mill), and vacuum shroud it ends up costing about the same as a Dillon, but I found it to be a go...

Re: lead alloy questions

It's also usually possible to raise the hardness of wheelweight alloy bullets a bit through heat treatment. I forget for how long (I have it in my notes somewhere), but you put them on a cookie sheet in an oven at 400F (IIRC) and then dump directly into ice water (I used to do this for my 10mm loads...
