Re: WHich primers?
I've been using Win small rifle magnum primers. Needed or not I prefer them because Lil Gun and H110 are both stubborn to burn powders from my experience in magnum revolver loads I've done.

Re: 300BLK works for elk!
The .30-30 has taken plenty of elk at the correct range for the cartridge so I don't see how this is much different.

Re: Flare case mouth for lead bullets? - How?
Has anyone tried the Lee .30 Luger powder die with the Pro Auto or even one of the "Perfect Adapters" from Gun Guides for mounting the LEE PPM or RCBS Uniflow? I do my case prep on a single stage but then the actual loading I like to do on a turret. So single stage I will size and deprime ...

Re: Anyone tried reloading the Noveske black brass from the glow tips?
Is it magnetic? If so then it's a steel case that's been plated. Scape at it and if it's still yellow in the scrape then it should be brass. The alloy could be a bit off with the tin and copper or the heat treating may have gotten to the base during annealing. Forgot to add it could be contaminated ...

Re: First bad experience with Hornday customer service
I am still burned by Hornady. I built a full LNL AP to include the case feeder and bullet feeder. I setup the case feeder and used that setup for a while and finally got around to installing the bullet feeder. It's missing a few small pieces that are specific to the company and can't be bought in a ...

Re: Issues loading Flat Base Bullets - Hornady 150 SPFB
I use a Lyman "M" expander die to make seating flat base bullets easier. Same here. I use them for just about everything now. NOE also offers a couple of similar options. One is inserts to use in the Lee universal expander in place of the original pair and the second replaces the inserts ...

Re: BlackoutBrass.com is under new management
Put in my order and was emailed my shipping notification on the 14th. Delivery attempted yesterday while I was at work (thanks USPS...) and I'm picking it up at the Post Office this afternoon on the way home. What I'm saying is so far I'm not having a problem. Edit: Got it and it's all good looking ...

Re: New bullet design with a waist for Magpul magazines
Nice job Robert!!! Has this bullet design been tested for accuracy and stability? What weight are these two designs? What twist rate is required? When will the moulds be available? Its funny how we get into casting to save money on projectiles and end up going through those savings on different mou...

Re: is a piston upper really cleaner?
My only AR piston experience is with a Bushmaster upper that was built at the old factory with an Ares Defense piston system. I think the most important part is the old style carrier vs. the newer milled to be a piston gun carrier. Shearing off what used to be a gas key held on by two bolts was the ...
