Im running 296 with SubX projectiles through a shortened suppressed ruger ranch rifle and getting consistent 1040-1080 fps loads with hornady brass and cci 450s.
Without checking my data I think its 9.4gr

Re: New member - New Zealand
I'm down Invercargill ways. Got family in Alex, they own the Centennial court. We chased Tahr around in Fairlie, I took my AR in 300blk but mostly for wallabies. Well before that silly communist decided that we weren't allowed them anymore. Sorry for your loss :( Would be an ideal set up for doing ...

Re: New member - New Zealand
I'm in Central Otago, Used to be just west of Christchurch. Moved to central couple of years ago when the opportunity came up for work. Spent a bit of time up Rangitata chasing Thar with the 270. Mt Cook area is closer to me now though. I'm down Invercargill ways. Got family in Alex, they own the C...

Its like 3 degrees of separation here so bound to know someone who knows someone who knows you and guess by the 3 hours drive to Tahr I'd say Canterbury, probably Christchurch

Re: Setup for 300blk
It will also depend on what you want to do with it Target plinking, hunting, safe queen, truck gun, speed shooting or loading to make clover leaves. Use the 308 suppressor (think I read that right) it will probably have more volume and smaller diameter exit to hold gases longer and give you the best...

Re: Merry Christmas
Merry Christmas, enjoy the family and friends and remember the meaning of the day. Sat through about a 2 hour “zoom” meeting with my mom, brother and sister last night. Pretty corny but better than a phone call, got to watch them eat dinner . Meant more to my mom than I could of imagined, ti...

Re: Blooded the new rifle
It all probably started with a thought running through your head something like, “I’ll just walk over there and shoot that damn deer real quick” Another day on the ranch  Merry Christmas We'd spent the better part of the day packing my truck to come down to the farm for Christmas and well I ju...

Re: Blooded the new rifle
I can add to this story a bit too now that I see the funnier side of it. So after I catch up on the wounded hind, I put a round into her I find out she try's to jump the boundary fence into the Bush and broken a couple of rotten posts off. That's fine it happens. Shes hung up in a tree root just ove...

Re: Blooded the new rifle
another great hunting story from a far off land! ready aim duck; these "deer" that Walkers Bay is shooting are the size of our elk (Wapiti) how's that for varmint hunting! These Reds weren't that big only being a year old and dumber than toast. But sir if you ever find yourself in the far...
