Re: Anyone tried reloading the Noveske black brass from the glow tips?
It's supposed to be black nickel plated brass. In theory, it should act the same as regular nickel plated but evidently it does not. Maybe the extra step of the black nickel weakens the brass? Or they use cheap brass to begin with but being Noveske/Nosler, you wouldn't think so. Maybe you just hit a...

Re: PSA Upper Issues: Unlocking bolt and 220gr stabilization
Yes, it was happening with almost every round. As an experiment, I took a spare bolt (still within field specs on a 5.56 upper) and tried it in the BLK upper. Still locked up on loaded ammo so I started sanding the lugs (the carrier ends where they would be touching the extension when in battery) a ...

Re: Optic for 300blk shooting both subs and supers
I saw that Nikon is making a 1.5-6x 300 Blackout scope with super/sub reticles. I didn't any research on it other than MidwayUSA has it for about $600.

Re: PSA Upper Issues: Unlocking bolt and 220gr stabilization
PSA had this same issue with their 308 platform. Tight and I mean tight chmabers. Most likely worn reamer to keep costs down. Just my .02 worth. That was my first guess until I dropped a loaded round into the empty chamber. It fell all the way in with the familiar "kachunk". The problem (...

Re: PSA Upper Issues: Unlocking bolt and 220gr stabilization
Just fired 15 rounds of 220 RN/11.2gr A1680. No keyholes but less then impressive grouping (about 3" @ 100 yds, plus a few flyers). Shot about 18" low. Didn't like Magpul mags (20 or 30), GI 20 mag was ok. Velocity averaged just over 1000 fps. No signs of excessive pressure. I may bump up ...

Re: PSA Upper Issues: Unlocking bolt and 220gr stabilization
I bought a PSA 8.5" 1/8 barrel several months ago for my BLK build. I finally got it together (Aero Precision upper, YHM handguard) and am having the exact same FTE issues (loaded ammo only) that you are. I only have reloads but have tried several case mfgs sized through both a RCBS s/b and For...

Sierra ProHunter 220 Round Nose vs. 220 SMK?
Possible feeding issues aside (each rifle is different), why do most people use the SMK instead of the round nose for BLK subs? Does one perform better than the other in the BLK subsonic velocities? I'm trying to find a heavy sub load that I can stock up on and the SMK's run about $18 more per 100 t...

Re: 1680 at $29/pound, deal?
I just paid the same ($29) locally. If I were going to do a keg or more, online haz-mat fee would be easier to accept.

Re: Hand Guard?
Veriforce Tactical. I have one on an AR10 build. Good for the price, just don't over torque the barrel nut, it'll split.
Btw, if using the 308 version, they are for the DPMS low receiver only.
