There is an advisement in the article linked below about not exceeding 1100 fps with the Hornady Sub-X. It says that limit was recommended by Hornady. I did not follow up on it. Nosler has a 220gr Round Nose Ballistic Tip that is supposed to expand at subsonic speeds. Nosler Product # 30181 (IIRC). But availability is a problem.

Omega finish?
I want to finish my upper and lower in the same color as my Omega silencer. While I wait for a response from SilencerCo, I thought I might ask this group if anyone has done this and if the results were satisfactory. Any info appreciated.

FWIW, I am resizing the Leatherhead 220gr to .309 using a Lee Resizing Die. Because they are coated you do not need any lube. It just becomes a mindless exercise to push through a few hundred (or thousand depending on how mindless you are). But after resizing, I have not had any problems with the lo...
