Re: Issues reloading/ neck sizing
That definitely needs more belling. Also, are the bullets sized correctly? Anything over .309 will bulge out.

Re: Hornady 300 blackout dies
I use Hornady dies, and they don't bell the mouth. There are several ways to do it, but I ended up using a Lee .30 Carbine expander die. It has to be reamed out about .0020-.0030 to fit. The easiest way is just to use a 3/8" drill bit.

Re: Lee 309-230-5R
It's nice and warm here today, so I got out to the range. The Lee boolits worked very well; no keyholing or leading. I loaded 10.5 grains 1680 at 2.23" OAL. I used my pistol build with a 8.5" CMMG barrel. I didn't have my chronograph, but i didn't hear the supersonic crack. I shot some pai...

Re: Lee 309-230-5R
I must have gotten a good one, because they turned out perfect! It's too cold to go to the range to test them, though. I have an NOE 311284 mold, but the boolits are too fat. They get stuck in the chamber. I might need to sell or trade that mold.

Lee 309-230-5R
I just got this mold and it drops perfect boolits. They measure right at .309, and weigh between 229 and 231 grains with WW alloy. I have quite a few that are exactly 230.0! I read reviews here, and people say it's not that good. I can put gas checks on, or coat them if I have to. I just ordered som...

Re: Hodgdon updated Lil Gun loads???
My best H110 loads have always been right around their old maximum. The primers were nowhere near flat.TreeTopFlier wrote:Good catch, I think their H110 data has been bumped up also.

Re: 300 blk project update with pics
I have the same brake on my .308. It is pretty loud. It helps a lot with recoil, but the shouldn't be an issue with 300 BLK. Personally, I would go for a quiet weapon for home defense. You might disorient yourself as much as them. You'll be temporarily deaf, too. I go for subs with a can if possible.

I know Gen M2 PMAGs won't work. Every other magazine type I've tried seems to work.

I tried the Wheeler and it didn't work very well. I then got one from

You can't go wrong with an adjustable block and pistol length. Once it's dialed in, it can run anything.
