Re: The administrations guiding hand, again.
Until they catch on to those of us to reload our own ammo you can always stock up on primers, powder and bullets and "roll your own" for a lot less then the factory stuff. Of course once they do catch on and start putting a tax on those things then that'll be as bad as trying to buy factor...

Re: The administrations guiding hand, again.
I wish the so called Pro 2nd Amendment Republicans in Congress would get off of their collective arse and pass a "Militia Use" clause that would restore our 2nd Amendment Rights. WE, the American People are suppose to be the Militia and as such have the same access to arms and ammunition t...

Re: Ruger American Ranch Rifle 300 blackout
Seems to be an issue that a few RARR's have had.

Re: 300 Blackout bolt gun as a deer/hunting rifle?
Or if you reload, or if you are sensitive to recoil. Yes and Yes, LOL. Although not so much "sensitive" as it is just having a bad neck that I'd like to take care of. I mean there's no reason to beat it up more then needed. Heck, when I worked at McMilian Arms in 1989 I got to shoot my fi...

Re: 300 Blackout bolt gun as a deer/hunting rifle?
My thoughts exactly. Unless you have a suppressor. That would change the game a little A Suppressor on one of these little bolt actions would be uber cool but I just don't feel like begging BATFE for the "Privilege" of getting something that I should have the Right to own in the first pla...

Re: 300 Blackout bolt gun as a deer/hunting rifle?
Other then the Logic of having a bolt gun chambered in the same caliber as the AR I plan on building there's really no other reason to go 300 Blackout in a bolt action. I mean even the humble .243 Win. beats it in ballistics and down range performance with flatter trajectory, cheaper ammo prices, mo...

Re: 300 Blackout bolt gun as a deer/hunting rifle?
I use to get caught up quite a bit in ft/lbs of energy, bullet weight, caliber, ect. Today I just kind of feel like if you can accurately hit what you're aiming at and poke a hole in it so it'll bleed out then you'll kill it. You may not knock it off it's feet and you might have to track it for a bi...

Re: 300 Blackout bolt gun as a deer/hunting rifle?
I know there use to be quite a few .308" "Handgun" bullets for rounds used in things like the T/C Contender handgun with a 10-14" barrel. I'd bet they'd expand and work better at 300 Blackout velocities then the full on Rifle bullets would. I didn't see anything listed on the Mid...

300 Blackout bolt gun as a deer/hunting rifle?
So, since my planes for a 300 Blackout AR are on hold for a while I figured I just might drop back and punt and pick up a Ruger American Rance in 300 Blackout to play around with. What range do ya'll think these would be good at for a light weight deer rifle and which loads would work the best? Woul...

Re: Ruger American Ranch Rifle 300 blackout
Had my local dealer look one up for me. $399 plus tax and TICs fee so it'd be about $450 out the door. Only one left too.
