Re: Has Anyone Experienced This Before...
who is the manufacturer of the upper? I would probably start by contacting them with the problem and ask for their input.

Re: Opinion needed on 150gr
N120 Most accurate, smallest ES, cleanest burning, slightly lower velocity than 1680, maybe highest powder charge for same velocity. 1680 second most accurate, possibly highest velocity, burns very clean as a super powder. 300 MP less pressure than 296/H110. About the same accuracy, better ES sprea...

Re: Opinion needed on 150gr
Not looking for competition accuracy or max velocity; just sometime to knock off nuisance armadillos and to just have a little fun with family. I was thinking the W296 may be the best choice for wants and needs but I really like to get opinions or suggestions for anyone who loads the 150gr. The bull...

Opinion needed on 150gr
I just ordered a BO upper for my AR and have several hundred 150gr FMJ projectiles that I load for my Garand. In looking at the load data for the BO it shows that Lil Gun provides the smallest charge, highest velocity and highest pressures. This may not be the ideal bullet for the BO but if any of y...

Re: Trim frequency
Two factors come to mind: (1) how much stress you are putting on the brass. I load for plinking in my 100-yd backyard range (just above published starting data) and have never had to trim the brass. If your loads are at or near the max the brass will sustain a lot more pressure and may need to be tr...

Re: CCI 450 not fitting in blackout cases
To be perfectly honest I purchased the wrong primers I was looking at the small rifle primers CCI 400 but grabbed the box in back to get an "unhandeled" box and found out after I got home that I got the 450's. After research I had various opinions as to which primers to use and my buddy w...

Re: CCI 450 not fitting in blackout cases
I'm no authority on the blackout, but a few questions come to mind. Why magnum primers? There is not a lot of powder in the blackout casing, so a standard small rifle primer should be quite adequate. Have you tried a different kind of primer? Not likely, but it is possible that your primers could ha...

Re: .30 TRACERS
After expanding my research I have decided to work up a load with this powder. Of all the published load data Lil Gun provides the greatest velocity and will offer the best chances for the tracers lighting up.certifiable wrote:I have loaded the 147gr tracers with LilGun

Re: Highest Velosity for SUBSONIC loads
Technically the speed of sound is dependent on several factors including medium, density and temperature. The speed of sound is 761 MPH (1116 fps) @ sea level with a surface temperature of 59 degrees. Not only does temperature affect the speed of sound but altitude and air pressure play a big part a...

If you decide to go with a Lee setup you might want to check out the Lee Challenger Breech Lock Kit. It has everything that the Anniversary Kit contains but also has the Lee Safety Prime Shellholder Set. The shellholders are nice to have on hand.
