Re: Reloading: How-To Resource Guide
I pick out a representative sample from a lot of bullets - pick enough to have a healthy sample size balanced against your tolerance for the monotony of this exercise  . For each bullet, measure its length, and then use the .30 collet on the comparator to measure the bullet base to ogive. Calcu...

Re: the Covid got me
Glad things are going well. I echo the previous commenter about how seemingly random this thing is. I had it around Thanksgiving and like you Plant, didn't even put two and two together until I was about two days into it. Fortunately at least for me, all my symptoms were very mild - day or two on th...

Many reloaders also use the Sheridan slotted gauge and swear by it, myself included:

It's pricey but worth every cent.

Firearm safety rules apply to fighter jets too
Mechanic ‘Accidentally’ Fires Vulcan Cannon & Obliterates F-16 Sitting on the Runway https://www.warhistoryonline.com/news/f-16.html I guess I'm most surprised Belgium loads actual munitions aboard those fancy showpieces. Belgium. Why bother? :P I'll bet somewhere in Brussels the bureaucrats are...

Re: 300BLK Subsonic Newbie
Second the recommendation for SPS - look for blemished/overrun offerings on the Nosler 210gr RDF. Great plinking round and has the BC to fly far if you want to start stretching your rifle's subsonic legs. I've been loading I4227 for all my sub loads. Good luck!

I've been using Nosler 210gr RDF's when Shooter's Pro Shop offers them blemished, around a quarter apiece.

Re: Compressed Loads, A5744
The more you compress, the slower you want to seat the bullet. If you take the handle out of your press or use an arbor press, you can get a feel of when compression starts. All powders can [push the bullet out after seating], so let them stand as much as a day or two and remeasure COL. I have seen...

I've run both the 110gr Varmageddon and the 125gr BT from Nosler up to 19.0gr so far.

Compressed Loads, A5744
Been struggling to find informative discussions on this subject here or in other forums. Consensus on compressed loads seems to be: "Compression is OK. A little is good. Too much is bad." (I'll concede perhaps my web search techniques are lacking.) Can anyone provide some guidance and expe...

Re: New Build
Man I'm not a vintage bubba by any stretch but I gotta say that's a mighty fine looking rifle. Nice work.
