Re: Advice on subs CFEBLK

I found with CFE-BLK that a magnum primer cleared up to a large degree the the wide ES and SD spreads in the testing of subs and supers. I focused my test with 150 gr Gold Dots, and CFE-BLK and 1680 with compressed supers loads. Compressed charges responded very well in accuracy out my RARR, suppres...

Re: Quietest dedicated subsonic suppressor

In a related issue, we used to put a water bottle cap full of water in the can before firing that first round. This was in a Single shot .50 Alaskan. He did this to also demonstrate to other shooters how to do so before taking a stalked game animal. It worked well and I have done so in my 300 BLK wi...

Re: our country

Well, I can't add anything that you gents have covered. It would certainly appear that the one world powers are making their incremental moves to set us up for their control. I thanks the Lord every day for His presence in my life and that of my bride. Otherwise I and many others would have already ...

Re: Gas port issues?

I run the Superlative adjustable block on my 10.5" with happy results. Set up to comfortably run both supers and subs. As long as the subs are used with a powder best suited to this setup, it all works fine. I can use 160-220 gr subsonic, almost always suppressed. Port size is .120+.

Re: 223 to 300 case headspace / gaging problem

After the chop of the .223 case you need to trim 1.363 as max. I do all mine at 1.360. Once that is done, pressing the case into the sizing die will result in correct headspace once you have adjusted the die down to headspace in your gauge. Try not to have the finished case drop more than say .002-....

Re: Ruger American Blackout Magazine

I bought the RARR first in .223,followed by the 300 BLK version. The rotary mags work just fine for the .223, some flat nosed 300 BLK bullets will feed with a bit of stutter. The Ruger American platform in most all calibers has been a darn good rifle for the money.

Re: New Powder???

300 MP, W296 and H110 are all quite similar, made from the same base product but with minor burn difference (can't find the info on this at the moment). I use a lot of the 300MP and the others, beyond those I would look for the 4227's, 1680, LT-30, N120 and others in that suitable burn rate spread. ...

Re: Ruger American Blackout Magazine

The only 5 round AR mags I ever found were made by CProducts, no idea if they are still around. The Magpul Pmag 10 is the same length as the 5 round Cproducts, have not looked for any in recent times. They are made to this length to be long enough to be able to load and remove easily from the AR15 m...

Re: Starting new project/build

Sounds like a nice build, you will like the bolt action versatility for supers or subs. I had a hard core 7.62x39 guy stomp pretty hard on my mention of 300 BLK. Once he was informed about shooting bullets from 90 -245 gr at whatever velocity I wanted, he backed up a bit in attitude. I explained I c...
