Re: Finally went suppressed.....and the hogs don't like it!
Great post! Thanks for the info on the VLD, I would have assumed that the thinner jackets would have deformed/mushroomed more. As always, shot placement and penetration seems to win the day! Just curious, why did you settle on a supersonic load with that bullet weight? I'm not suggesting you go and...

Re: Anyone else notice lack of blood trail using subs?
So I'm not the only one to have noticed this! I don't know what the 300 subsonics are made of, but it looks like they seal the entry wound before detonating a nuke inside the target. That's why I've decided to use it for HD as well, this way I know I won't have to worry too much about incapacitatin...

Any Rhyme or Reason to POI Shifts?
Hey all, Had the chance to shoot 300 BLK suppressed and unsuppressed and 308 Win suppressed and unsuppressed. I discovered that 300 BLK sub sonic only had about an inch of POI shift at 100 yds. I figure that because there was such little energy released with that load that the barrel just doesn't vi...

Re: 300 Blackout Newbie SBR/Suppressed Build
Are you looking at the rate reduction system? If so, why the special BCG, it looks like it's set up to make full auto shooting easier. Not sure I'd spend the money for a BCG that's got a buffer weight in it. I built my 300 BO with a non-adjustable gas block and a standard weight BCG with a NiB-X (Ni...

Re: Subsonic 300 Blackout Suppressors
Did you get a suppressor yet? I've read the clean/don't clean threads and wasn't sure myself. I just picked up my suppressor last month and the owner's manual does recommend cleaning by soaking in CLP. In fact, they recommended it before even shooting it and claimed it would lengthen the service lif...

Re: Headspace fire form Question
One of the biggest differences between loading for semi-autos and loading for bolt/single-shot guns is the inability to neck size brass, which it sound like you are asking about. Because of how semi-autos work, full length resized brass is a must. Some even argue for a small base dies for semi-autos...

Re: The Wait Is On
Hey Gman, I didn't catch what your intended purpose for the subs was, or barrel length, etc. I'm running a 16" barrel with a carbine length non-adjustable gas system. I can't remember my buffer tube weight, but I'm running a standard carbine spring and I really haven't had any issues with relia...

Re: Insight on switching to a 6.5” barrel
You will find one OSS user on this site. I'm running an OSS Helix QD and like it so far. One thing about the OSS QD mount is that you absolutely can run it under the hand guard without any issue because the Helix doesn't have any latches like some cans have (not sure about the one you are looking at...
