Yup best way I have found to avoid a problem is to decipher the causes and then avoid them. ;)

Having said that, as long as ya have "good" brass I have shot many tremendous groups with mixed brass and NOTHING DONE to the necks. ;)

I have a couple CROW trimmers that I like alot. But these are caliber specific. Generic trim goes to my old Lyman power trimmer.

I picked hp a new to Me Mold two months or so back. Its a steel Lyman 311284 HP. CASTS A 210g deep HP bullet with a .298 nose. PC brings that up to .303/304 Still fine for my guns. I shoot is sub and super with good accuracy using 1680. I cast is in WW air cooled and 20:1 allow when Im loading subs ...

The bullets do look real good! I have been sidelined with some 155lees and some smoothies sent to be to test. 155g for all.

Buy a LEE 312-155-2R mold. They also have a 160g version.

Both can be very good BO ammo!

To that Id say CAST. Cast bullets allow for you to creat the fodder. Molds for what ever ya might want with ability for har soft Point HP cup point penta point. Skys the limit!!

Good post Mark! Thanks for the info. I have put the 300 in the safe and Im playin with the 350L and subs currently. Launchin 270/280g logs with almost 1100 fpe and listening to that thwap/thunk out at 100-130 yards is allot of fun. You can see a pronounced difference in the trget movement for sure. ...

2100 fpr a 110g in a 18". Sure aint "pushing it"!!!! My 300MP/135FTX loads are 2050ish from a 16" Bolt gun!!! Most of my 110 loads hover at 2400 fps. All with accuracy and no pressure signs.
