Re: Looking for a better powder measure
.... I use the Lee Auto-Drum and have been extremely pleased with it for both pistol & rifle calibers. Once the specific drum/powder combination has been drilled in, it's a "set & forget" operation for me (I do check before doing a run). ...I run it on my Lee Loadmaster in progress...

Re: Sheridan...is it absolutely essential?
I should clarify that a slotted Sheridan gauge in 300 AAC BLK is at the top of my buy list. I immediately see the value and really planned on having one by now. My question is primarily more in relation to the .223 and possibly the .30-06 gauges. For .223 I’m planning to stay with pretty standard l...

Re: Ramshot Enforcer vs Winchester WIN 296
I have a 9 inch barreled SBR (pistol gas system, adj gas block, standard buffer and bcg) and plan on developing a supersonic load for the 125 grain SMK. Sierra has both the Ramshot Enforcer and Winchester WIN 296 listed as their fastest powders for the 125 SMK. I am trying to get 2125 fps reliably ...

Re: Swage vs Chamfer
So while we're talking about crimped primers, does anyone know if there's a way for the average reloader to add a crimp to a case? Why would you want to? If just to seal it, from moisture and such, for like long term storage, or to keep in a vehicle (long term vibration) just use this: https://www....

Re: Looking for stock suggestions
....I use the MFT but found that the "hook shape" would catch on things (gear, bags, switching shoulders when using single point slingetc.), so I just braided up some para cord to take care of that issue. But, in doing so it also hampered using the QD a bit, had to be careful in the manner...

Re: Swage vs Chamfer
....FWIW, I've come across 2 types of methods used for primer retention in various brass, "crimping" and "staking", the staking appearing to be the "newer" method. The crimping method "appeared" to be extra material that appeared to be folded over the edge to ...

Re: Can the overall length for 300Blk vary?
....most of the powder manufacturers web sites that offer load data will publish the COAL figures for the bullets they have tested. The AAC manual contains some recommendations for handloading both sub and supersonic ammo here ---> http://www.advanced-armament.com/assets/images/pdf/manuals/300BLK-AA...
