Polyester is rated to around 500F, so that's not a difficult threshold. The 900F is a bit excessive for most people's shooting. :lol: I've been dealing with more leather lately, so I haven't played with making can covers yet. I went to welsco (a welding supplier) and got a welding shield and cut it up to make a liner for mine.
I think it was rated to 900 F.

The Europeans make nice firearms. The Tikka is a Sako made to a price point and unlike Freedom Group it wasn't quality that that was lost to make the compromise. Buy a high quality complete upper and build a lower with a good trigger. Wa la 1800 and it's guaranteed to run. 200 to build a ar is crazy. My guy charges me 30 bucks and it's done while I'm eating lunch. They always end up costing just as much as it would to just call up Wilson combat and have the...
